My 'English owned' property forms part of the multi award winning Portomaso Marina which was built in 2001 in conjunction with the equally impressive Hilton 5* Hotel.
This very large apartment comfortably accommodates 5/6 with two large bedrooms, one having the benefit of access to the wonderful large terrace and the beautiful Marina views this provides.. a real treat! The Marina hosts many fine Sailing and motor boats and is surrounded by both the open Mediterranean and the beautiful Spinola & Ballutta bay fishing ports, each with their many bars and restaurants and all within walking distance of this trendy area of St Julians.
Inclusive for my guests is the Lido Indoor and out Swimming Pools of the 4* Cavalieri Hotel which is less than 200 yards from the apartment entrance. This facility is available all year round and includes your towels, sunloungers and discount on food and drink. The Cavalieri offers beautiful views across Ballutta bay and has the benefit of safe open sea swimming with easy sea access adjacent to its Pools.

My property is accessed from street level, the car park or from the Marina by stairs (one flight) and elevators. This apartment is four floors up from Marina level (perfect height) and one floor down from the street level. This is a high quality development and all communal area's are finished and maintained to an impeccable standard. Security patrols Portomaso regularly for total peace of mind.
Once inside the property you have a large hall that leads to the kitchen and dining area. Further down is a split level that leads to the impressive living area. Large sliding doors provide fabulous Marina views and access to the large terrace area . The magnificent Master bedroom measures 13 x 36 ft and has a split level floor into a spacious relaxing area with a sofa. This area is ideal to accommodate the two fold down single beds. Large bedroom patio double width glazed doors provide spectacular views of the Marina. This room has an en suite with Bath, separate shower, sink, WC and a heated towel rail. In addition there is also a separate Shower room with WC and sink off the main hallway which is great if sharing with a different family. Between the two bedrooms is a long corridor with the benefit of a locking door. Both bedrooms do have their own doors opening into the main hallway where you have the second family WC/ shower room.
The Kitchen, dinning area and main living area are of an open plan design providing spaciousness and lead onto the terrace which is large enough for entertaining of an evening.
The property is fully Air Conditioned and thermostatically controlled. All facilities are Clean, modern and in good working order. Hairdryers, an Iron, ironing-board, washer/dryer, dishwasher etc are all there for you. You have TV provided by a SKY Box that provides some British channels through 'Freeview'. WI FI is available and included for you.
The surrounding area Bars & Cafe's offer SKY Sports.
The nearby Cavalieri and Hilton Hotels offer good Spa facilities. The Pools at Cavalieri Lido are Included in your package and are available all year. It is a 4* hotel and provides indoor and outside pools with complimentary towels and sunbeds. The 5* Hilton Pools are optional .. please ask if interested.
I believe this is a property you will want to go back to time and time again to explore and enjoy Malta.

St Julian's is the fashionable town of Malta. Therefore it has many exclusive designer shops and a nearby shopping Mall should you wish to shop.
A convenient Supermarket is part of the Portomaso development.
Free Car Parking beneath the apartment is available but must be requested prior to your visit.
Within a few hundred yards of this apartment are Car hire, Boat hire, open Bus and Boat trips, Sandy Beach, Protected Sea Swimming area's, Fishing, Shopping, Multi Screen Cinemas (English language), many Restaurants and Nightlife for all ages.
Free Included for my guests is Sunbathing with great views and Swimming pools at the excellent Cavalieri hotel just yards from my apartment....... This is why i bought in St Julian's... It had something for all the family.

The Island of Malta region
Malta is a small island that allows you to enjoy all of what Malta offers in a shorter time. Most of the Islanders speak English and are very friendly people wether you are paying them or not! Assistance is therefore always available should you require.
On the contrary to belief Malta does have many beautiful beaches and some fabulous places to swim. Some of these are nearby but others worth a visit are Blue Lagoon or Paradise Bay accessed by Bus, Taxi , car or for a fun trip take a small privateer speed boat from nearby Spinola Bay near the apartment and this person will return to collect you at your convenience.
Malta is steeped with old historic towns, buildings and Church's and many trips to this Island are for this purpose. Festivals are common so be prepared for a celebration. Valletta offers a good day out and the Harbour regularly hosts special events and concerts for all ages. MTV are regular visitors to Malta. Remember a visit to Gozzo Island where you will be going back in time!

Portomaso has its own top class restaurants within its Marina and there are many more to choose from within a few hundred yards. My choice for dining is the nearby Spinola Bay restaurants as you can enjoy outdoor dining whilst watching the fishermen moor up in their boats and experience the famous Spinola 'Love Boat' cruising the bay and generally watching the world go by .This is a great location, adjacent to the stunning Spinola Bay fishing port with all the tranquillity and charm that old Malta offers. You are spoiled for fantastic restaurants and bars with far reaching colourful views across the bay to Balluta and Sliema. To the other side of Portomaso ( 500 yds ) is St Georges Bay with its popular beach and bars offering something for all ages of the family.
Nearby Paceville offers the best evening entertainment that the island has to offer and is a safe haven for youngsters to enjoy with a short and safe walk back to quiet peaceful Portomaso.
Underground parking is supplied should you hire a car although everything you want in a holiday is on your doorstep .Bus travel is cheap and frequent for all your transport needs around this interesting coastline. You can take a Bus ride around the entire coastline and back to St Julian's in just a few hours..
St Julian's is Malta's premier shopping area providing many designer shopping boutique's and Jewelers, and a small shopping mall. However, for serious shopping Malta's largest and most modern Mall has recently opened in nearby Sliema and dont forget Valletta, the capital city, for its old charm narrow streets for more indulgence. English Multiplex Cinemas are adjacent to most Shopping areas.

"The best location Malta,walk to most facilities,great accommodation."
The unit itself is more than just comfortable, four adults were easily accommodated with the two bathrooms and large living area. The balcony overlooking the marina presented an outdoor alternative for either our mealtimes or just lying back and enjoying the wonderful Maltese climate. Once we were used to the garage area, which is a little daunting at first, we were able to enjoy our daily trips in and out of the area with relative ease when you take into account the difficulty of finding parking in Malta. All in all, the apartment is one to be considered if looking for upmarket accommodation, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

As a seasoned visitor of over 20 trips to the Maltese islands(I have a Maltese mother) Portomaso held no great surprises for me so more detailed descriptions of this lovely and peaceful marina i'll leave to others but I do feel compelled to comment on the apartment itself which to my delight was presented in immaculate condition both in terms of neatness and hygiene and is a great credit to the person who services it for the owner between bookings. Ultimately the greatest compliment I could leave is that I was delighted with the decision to stay here and to paraphrase Arnie "i'll be back"!!!

"Absolutely Brilliant... a splendid apartment in a fantastic location"
Well what you can one say about 2142 Portomaso..... Absolutely brilliant place for a holiday. A party of four adults (aged 53 to 72 years) had a wonderful experience at St Julians in February / March with 2142 Portomaso as our base... and what a base. A splendid two bedroom apartment with 'warm air' central heating for the cold evenings and a beautiful double fronted balcony to sit on during the sunny days, overlooking an absolutely fantastic five star Marina. Just sit and watch the motor cruisers and sailboats in the spotlessly clean marina area. The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing holiday... good beds and bed linen, towels, two excellent bathrooms (one on-suite for the big master bedroom on the front and another just three paces outside the second bedroom), comfortable double and three seater sofas in the lounge, with very good TV facilities and fast 20mb free WIFI internet. A lovely dining area and kitchen with dishwasher, good crockery, cooking utensils, cutlery and glasses..... A splendid apartment with quality facilities. The location of the apartment could not have been better... the Marina with a number of ‘upmarket’ bars and restaurants on the water’s edge can be found just down from the apartment via the security coded lift. Two minutes down from the apartment you will come to the beautiful Cavalieri Hotel and Spinola Bay with more quality bars/restaurants around the bay... Immediately outside the Portomaso apartments you will find Portomaso Shopping Mall and Spinola Park. In the shopping mall is a great supermarket for all your needs. Next to the park are a number of typical Maltese shops, bars and restaurants... a nice lively area to sit in the sun and watch the Maltese ‘cruise’ in their expensive cars. Outside the park you can hop on a bus to Sliema, Msida and Valletta, go inland to Mosta or head North to Bugibba and Gozo. (2.60 euro per day anywhere on the island). A short walk from Spinola Park will take you to Paceville and St Georges Bay for the young at heart. I could go on and on about this great location and fantastic apartment. The owner David Scarborough was very helpful, honest and reliable. The taxi airport transfer David arranged for us with Frank Salt Real Estate was inexpensive... only 28 euro. Jonathan from Frank Salt and our pickup taxi driver Mario were very very helpful and reliable.. Typical Maltese hospitality. 400 euro for four people for one week, i.e. 100 euro per person, or less than 15 euro per person per night you could not wish for better value for money..this, with the added bonus of the use of the 5 star Hilton Hotel, and the 4 star Cavalieri Hotel on Spinola Bay....you could not get a Travel Inn room for this in the UK....... fantastic don’t miss it.

"An excellent choice for holiday rental, you will not be disappointed."
Have rented this apartment on no less than three ocassions, both summer and winter. It is a very spacious property, complete with a large balcony that is accessed from both the lounge and the main bedroom. The views from the balcony both of the marina and of the sea are quite magnificent.The Hilton Hotel is situated on the opposite side of the marina, and is within a five minute walk of the apartment - many restaurants are also within a five minute walk. The apartment is well equipped with everything that the holidaymaker requires. I have taken rentals elsewhere on the island and can say that this apartment is up there with the best. A car parking space in the underground car park is also an advantage due to the lack of parking space generally in St Julians. Bus stops are also handily placed just a few minutes walk away. When visiting St Julians again I will certainly be checking out the availability of this property in the first instance.

I have visited Malta and specifically the Hilton at St Julians for a number of years (10+ stays at the Hilton). As my family has grown however, the costs have rocketed as I know have to take 2 rooms which effectively doubles the cost of the holiday. So this year I looked at staying at an apartment nearby to this location. I knew of the Portomaso development from my previous stays and at the time, the owner was providing it with access to the Hilton facilities which are as you would expect of a 5* hotel, absolutely superb. My familiy consisted of my wife and 4 children between 2yrs and 12yrs and it was more than suitable for that size. If you wanted to stay in and cook, then the facilities were all there to do so. We only really used it for sleeping and breakfast and spent the rest of the time out and about or just coming back to shower and change before going out again. It has everything you could want from a home from home and my kids were entertained by the WIFI and Satelite TV that was also on offer. I booked this place over a year in advance and the owner was a pleasure to deal with with great communication throughout and after the stay. I cannot say anything bad and would recommend it to anyone who wants a luxurious hotel style accomodation. Would love to come back again funds permitting.
