Saint Julian's

St Julians Initially a fishing village, later turned to a summer residence for wealthy locals and now developed into one of the Island's mostly upmarket and sought after residential resorts for night life and entertainment, especially for the youngsters and the middle aged. Within walking distance to Paceville, this village still retains some of it's old dwellings and boat houses. The small bay still shelters numerous colored Maltese boats that are berthed here all year long. St Julian's derives it's name from the Patron Saint of hunters.

St Julian is a village for all ages and walks of life.

The young at heart will enjoy nearby Paceville and St Georges Bay - this locality offers much to tourists looking for nightlife entertainment, including discos, bars , Casinos , numerous restaurants, cafes and other entertainment.

The sea front from Gzira to St Julian's, which offers first stunning views across to Valletta and then open horizons, is a popular meeting place and ideal for walkers and joggers. St Julian's and Paceville are Malta's main nightlife areas. Picturesque St Julian's Bay, still used by fishermen, is lined with bougainvillea-clad cafés and restaurants. Paceville offers a vibrant nightlife to suit all tastes. Choose from the latest in club DJ music to quieter piano bars, an elegant casino and superb restaurants. Inland from these coastal resorts lie some of Malta's most urban yet sought-after residential areas. Nearby Sliema and St Julians resort are Malta's main coastal resort towns and a heartland for shopping, entertainment and café life. They are also key commercial and residential areas with some of Malta's newest hotels and apartments. Sliema, once a fishing town, began to develop in the early 20th century as small resort for wealthier Valletta residents. Their elegant villas and town houses line the quieter back streets.

"Booked for a week"

Booked the apartment for a week as a friend was getting married nearby. Trevor couldn't have been more helpful from the outset, answering any queries promptly and there was no complications with the booking. Trevor then organised a taxi to pick us up from the airport and take us straight to the apartment where he was waiting for us to show us around. He offered suggestions on restaurants to go to and also booked us a taxi for a trip we were taking during the week. The apartment itself was bigger than we expected with everything you'd need. It doesn't have a balcony or anywhere to sit out but it is only a minutes walk from bars, restaurants and cafe's along the harbour so it wasn't an issue. The apartment was clean and suited us for the week. Trevor couldn't have done more for us and we enjoyed our stay.

"Located in the best part of Malta"

I stayed in Malta for three weeks over Easter 2015 and had a wonderful time mostly because Trevor's flat was most comfortable and excellently located. The first week I was with my eldest daughter and her boyfriend and they too had a terrific time. Traveling from Australia, the best thing is to arrive at your accommodation hassle free and Trevor welcomed us immediately and set a good foundation for an enjoyable stay. He is the friendliest guy and nothing is too much trouble for him. Balluta is the best part of Malta in my opinion and I have been there several times. It is picturesque in itself and located within an easy walk to Sliema and available to regular buses into Valletta, airport and other key locations. There are quality restaurants nearby for all types of budgets and a handy supermarket.I highly recommend Trevor's flat and I will be staying there again in the future myself.

"Comfortable apartment. Modern decor. Good location."

A colleague & I stayed here for almost 2 weeks while visiting Malta for business. My correspondence with the host, Trevor, prior to our arrival was prompt & helpful although the cab driver from the airport had a hard time finding the flat at first because the street name on the street sign was different than what Trevor had told me. If you stay here, ask Trevor to give you the name on the sign. Also, I'd read complaining on reviews of other properties in Malta of garbage being left outside the door. This was true, so don't be surprised or put off. It's like New York. There's no/few alleys with rubbish bins, so garbage bags are left outside the building and are cleared away almost daily it seems. Since we were away for most days & evenings either for work or play, we didn't use the kitchen or appliances much at all, but they're all modern and new: washer, gas stove, refrigerator, wifi, hot water for showers. There was a small noise issue during our stay due to the neighbors doing some construction & another neighbor shouting at times (my sense was it was an elderly person who had a mental disability), but as I said, these were pretty minor. Again, I suggest you check in with Trevor about this. Overall, this is a really nice secure property in a good safe location. Very close to a main bus route. 5-20 minute walking distance to various pubs, restaurants, (rocky) beaches, diving center, night life in St. Julian's & shopping in Sliema. Trevor was very helpful & accommodating. A wonderful host. I'd recommend it.

"Great location and apartment"

Stayed in this apartment for 3 weeks. The landlord from the first introduction made me feel welcome and gave me all the necessary information i needed. The location is excellent, 5 minute walk to St Julians and 5 minute walk to Sliema. Located near Surftside (3 minute walk) which is the main place to go swimming , with the beach bar aswell. If you want a cosy and clean apartment, in a very good location then i higly recommend it. Plus all the furniture is brand new, no dirty stuff. I'd definitely stay there again!
