"Would happily stay again"
A peaceful and comfortable retreat with Bayeux, the Cherbourg peninsula and the Mont St.Michel areas all within easy reach. A kind gift of red wine, baguette and French cheese waiting on the kitchen table on our arrival. All in all a very pleasant stay and the owners helpful and friendly..
We are glad you enjoyed your time with us. See you again soon we hope.

"Home from home - comfortable and welcoming!"
We were greeted + welcomed by the owners and immediately felt at home and relaxed.
The accommodation is perfect for families or a small group, with ample parking and a pretty, well equipped garden. There was nothing we wanted for.
As the surrounding area is fairly flat, it is ideal for cycling and there is easy country walking along the numerous footpaths.
The vast expanses of sandy beaches, only a short drive away, are absolutely wonderful - perfect if you really want to get away from it all.
The gite has numerous pamphlets and this helps to plan your days out. DDay museums, local supermarkets, horse-trap racing, french markets, restaurants, beaches etc - there's lots to do, if you have time.
The nicest aspect of our stay was the fact that the owners are so friendly but that they will not intrude on your privacy while you are staying with them.
If you want hustle and bustle, loud music and nightlife - this little 'hide away' is perhaps not for you!!
Glad you were comforatble and that we were able to be of help to you. See you next year!

"The cottage was brilliant for our gang because it has a huge kitchen diner, Jane and Nigel were so welcoming."
A great place for a big family holiday, easy going hosts, total peace and quiet, lovely walks on the Marre, and PLENTY OF SPACE. Not pretentious or fussy, but squeaky clean and comfortable and charming too. The area is tops because there;s amazing beaches, all the WWII sites, the unbeatable Bayeaux Embroidery, kayaking, a crazy fun thing where you pedal along an actual train track on a clanky platform on wheels, the National Stud, where you can see some red hot horses, a great zoo, some typical French markets for browsing, but best of all...LE TROTTING! Try it! it's only in the next village! it's buggy racing, and we had such fun there. Back to the house, there was everything you could need, and more, and if you needed any help advice or bits and bobs, Nigel or Jane would be sure to help you out. Did I mention the goats? They were so delightful, bleating a "bonjour!" every morning from across the paddock, I'll be going there again, when we can all get together.
Thank you for your review, we are delighted that you were happy in our cottage and had a good holiday. Come back soon.

"Great place to stay!"
Close to everything we wanted to visit and see. Quiet country location that was a great change of pace. House had everything we needed, including a bottle opener! It was also very child friendly which is my main worry when traveling with a 2yo and 10 month old. Everything was clean and ready for us. If we ever go back to Normandy we will be staying again! I would recommend it to anyone traveling with kids and want a quiet place to stay!
Thank you so much for your review, we are glad you enjoyed the cottage and had a good time. We would love to see you all here again some time.
All the best, Nigel and Jane
