Home description
What could be better than to watch the sun rise and set from the ramparts of your very own castle? The castle is set on an islet ten minutes walk along a causeway from West Park, St Helier.
A comfortable centrally heated apartment with large rooms has been created from part of a granite building set in the parade ground of the castle. The islet is surrounded by sea twice a day and arrangements have been made to provide complimentary transport to and from the islet from 9.30am (from mainland) to 5pm. Thereafter transport can be arranged by boat at an additional cost. During the day it is open to the public and the black powder cannon is still fired daily. The castle gardien is based on site, but after closing you will have the key to the main gate and the castle is yours to explore.

The Jersey region
The Channel Islands are magical islands in the Bay of St Malo and at the closest point Jersey is just 14 miles from the French coast. Warmed by the waters of the Gulf Stream, spring arrives early and summer lingers on. The weather here consistently tops the UK resort charts for sunshine hours and temperature.
Jersey well known for its magnificent sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, sheltered coves and crystal clear waters. Inland, winding, shaded lanes take you through wooded valleys and patchwork countryside.
Saint Helier area
St Clement lies to the south east of the Island of Jersey and is the smallest of twelve parishes within the island. It is however, the most densley populated region of Jersey and so, is packed with plenty of activities and amenities for the whole family to enjoy! The area is steeped in history and is home to castles, forts and many museum for you to explore.
On the island in St Aubin's Bay. Walk across the causeway from West Park Slipway (opposite the Grand Hotel) at low tide or catch the amphibious ferry(extra charge), which runs approximately every 20 minutes back and forth during castle opening hours. A useful tip for motorists visiting the castle: a visit, including walking from West Park, takes about 3 hours.
Due to the unique location of the castle, access can occasionally be restricted by the tide and weather. The Amphibious vehicles will operate at all times except when the tide is high and the wind is strong creating a rough sea. If the wind is strong on the day of your planned visit please telephone the Castle Ferry Kiosk to find out opening times.
