'Ruelle du Pressoir' Bordeaux
from £59 /night help
Gite | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Surrounded by fields, vineyards and forest, "La Ruelle du Pressoir" is a charming traditional stone house part of the owner's property, a XVIIe century farmhouse converted into a family cottage formerly owned and refurbished by the Eiffel family. Only 30mn away from Bordeaux City Centre (22Km) and Saint-Emilion (30Km), this is a very rural and peaceful place with plenty of walks within the 40 acres estate that the owners (living on site) would be happy to show you.
Entirely refurbished in 2009, the 75m sq flat has 1 Master bedroom with en suite bathroom (access via Master bedroom only), and dining room with open plan kitchen (includes Fridge, Microwave, Hob, Toaster and Kettle) with view on the park, all on ground floor. A small and charming staircase leads to the second twin bedroom upper floor also with the view on the park.
The local village of Salleboeuf is 2 min driving (1.4Km) or 15-20min walking with a lovely local bistro with funniest Chef, and also a delicous bakery.
It is a peaceful and quiet cottage, for couples or small families looking for relaxing holidays in ideal location for Bordeaux and Saint Emilion.

"Lovely gite ideally located to explore Bordeaux"
Ruelle du Pressoir is a beautiful small gite ideal for solo travels, couples and small families. I stayed for four nights in July and was warmly welcomed by Mr and Mrs Hery whose own home is next door to the gite.
Accessed approx 1/4 mile down a private entrance drive the property offers blissful tranquility and is furnished with French antiques and overlooks the gardens. The village of Salleboeuf is just a few minutes drive from the property with all of the basic facilities you might need, furthermore a wider choice of restaurants including the excellent L'Atmosphere is available 5mins drive from the gite in St Germain du Puch.
In this area of Bordeaux you are about 20mins drive from St Emilion and 40mins from Bordeaux, there is also a great cycle path along a disused railway line 10mins drive from the Gite in Creon.
I will certainly be visiting Ruelle du Pressoir again!
