Quietly located in the orchard at Vrigny this lovely cottage has been developed by us from the original barn. One romantic double bedroom on the mezzanine floor with goose down bedding; the cottage is too small for children but a cot is available if required. The living room has a French window overlooking its own private patio, comfortable armchairs and table and chairs, TV and video, radio-cassette player. There is a well fitted kitchen with washing machine, fridge, electric oven and built in hob and microwave. Well fitted nice modern and clean shower room and WC (we have just re-grouted the shower). Under floor heating. Secluded patio with own garden furniture and BBQ. Bicycles available, cycle rides across the vineyards and along the river to the Chateau at Chenonceau. Internet access, plenty of off street parking. This cottage offers a quiet away from it all holiday for two in an excellent location for visiting the historic Loire Valley chateaux (we are 4 minutes drive from Chenonceau)and vineyards; great restaurants within 5-10 minutes drive.

The cottage is on two floors the upper bedroom floor is an attractive and romantic mezzanine i.e. it is on a half floor with balustrade looking over the sitting area which is open to the roof. The new kitchen has all the keen cook could wish for. Good clean shower room (we have dealt with the problems recently mentioned in a review).. The sitting room has a large french window which opens onto the sunny and private sitting area outside.

The Barn is situated in the orchard of the large shared garden at Vrigny; it is quiet and secluded with its own sitting area. Own BBQ; loungers available.
Dates can be flexible we are not tied to arrival and departure days. Booking in advance ; normally a deposit of £100 a week with the balance paid six weeks before your holiday. Last minute bookings are available. We have several other cottages nearby so please ask if your dates aren't available.
The Loire Valley region
A year-round self catering rental for 2, centrally located in the Loire Valley, the famous valley of the Kings; you will visit the beautiful and historic castles (chateaux) - Chenonceau, Amboise, Chambord, Villandry and many more. The Loire Valley - also know as le jardin de France - has a lovely climate - not too hot in summer and lovely crisp days in the winter; the Chateaux are open all the year round. Wonderful fresh fruit and veg and produce from the farms in our local markets - our cottage has a newly installed gourmet cook's kitchen. We are only 10 minutes drive from the second most visited chateau in France after Versailles - Chateau de Chenonceau. We are in the heart of the Touraine wine region so if you are keen on wines this is your chance to visit the viticulteurs in Vouvray, Chinon, Bourgeuil and Saumur ; 2 hours from Sancerre
Saint Georges sur Cher
The location is quiet, set close to the vineyards a few steps away so lovely walks and cycle rides. You can walk or cycle along the River to Chenonceaux or shop in Montrichard, Tours or Amboise; there is a market every day so take your choice; local cafes and restaurants are excellent. Visit Tours and sit in the square at the historic Place Plumereau. Other attractions include river boats through the arches at Chenonceau or on the Loire at Amboise; the aquarium at Amboise, zoo at St Aignan
