Ajoupa (house)

Home description

-The villa is surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden of 1000m2.
-Three Air conditioned bedrooms, each with individual bath/shower room.
-The master bedroom has a double bed 160 cm, adjacent bathroom with private WC, bath and shower. Walk-in cupboard and sliding doors with access to the garden.
-The two other bedrooms have each two beds 90 cm large, which can be placed side by side, or separated. Each has bathroom with large shower and wash basin. Each bedroom has large cupboards with plenty storage for clothing and personal affairs. Both have sliding doors directly to the terrace and pool.
-2nd WC in the corridor
-The very spacious lounge has adjacent, recently installed, American kitchen. Large sliding doors open to the covered terrace and the pool.
-Pool has removable barrier protection for young children. Cot for baby upon request. Internet connexion upon request.

The Guadeloupe region

Guadeloupe is an Overseas Department of France. All laws of Mainland France are applicable. It has approx. 350000 inhabitants. The tourist industry is not the main activity on the island.
The countryside is extremely beautiful.
Guadeloupe consist of two islands that are joined. Basse Terre is of volcanic origin. It is mostly a tropical rain forest, with beautiful flora. Grande Terre is of coral origin. Relatively flat, and lots of sugar cane plantations.
The climate is mild all year around. Temperature from 26 to 31 deg.C, usually a moderate easterly wind makes the heat very supportable. There can be some rain showers, mostly at night and during the end of the afternoon. These showers lasts 5 to 30 minutes. They are more frequent from July through December, but some years tere are none.

Saint Francois area

Most activities are around the marina and the seaside front. There are lots of nice shops, restaurants and terraces.
The well known 16hole golf is adjacent to the residence. Various diving schools and clubs operate from the marina.
Day trips by sailing boat or motor catamaran to the islans of Les Saintes, Marie Galante and Petite Terre.
Beaches are very close by, some with stretchers and many tourists, others on which you can be just by yourselves.
Deep sea fishing from the marina.

Daily flights from Paris to Pointe à Pître by AIR FRANCE, AIR CARAIBES and CORSAIR.
Car rental from AVIS, HERTZ and FUN-CAR (fun-car@wanadoo.fr)

The cleaning lady will come once a week to thoroughly clean the house and to change the bedlinen and towels.
-A gardener takes care of the garden if and when needed.request.
-The pool is cleaned and maintained once a week by a specialist.
-Additional services for cleaning, pool maintenance, baby sitting and even cooking can be made available for a nominal fee.
-Upon your arrival a person will guide you through the house, and this person can be called by you any time for any kind of assistance, in case of technical problems or whatever.
-A large supermarket is available at 1 km distance only.

-The residence is surrounded by the well known 16 hole golf course of St.François
-Beaches at 2 km distance with all water sport activities.
-Many restaurants around the marina, on the seaside and in the village.
-A small airfield adjacent to the residence has possibilities for sightseeing flights and private flights to other islands. Confirmed pilots can rent a plane.
-Diving schools are at the Marina, and diving in this area is magnificent

Rental price per day Euro 260. Villa can be rented on a daily basis, minimum 7 days. No fixed weekday for arrival or departure.
