Home description
The mobile homes date from 2005en 2003. They are comfortable and cosy. Most of the living is outdoors, so garden furniture is at hand. The camping is an excellent place to start exploring the famous wine area of the Bordeaux. The world famous old town of St Emilion is only 12 km away. You can taste wine everywhere, for only a few euro's and then some... A visit to Bordeaux and Bergerac is also recommendable. But if you want to let the day flow by, with a book on the sunbed, then be my guest. Or sit at the shaded terrace, sip a local Bordeaux wine and contemplate life centuries ago within the castle that is just a foothpad away. Lovely bathing in light in the evening, by the way.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Gironde region
As the grapes have to ripe for the delicious Bordeaux wine, the weather conditions are superb. In summer there is hardly any rain, spring is pleasant, and September is just a delight. Sometimes the wind is very strong, the day looks ugly, but as it is with wind, it blows over.... Excursions to St Emilion, Bordeaux and Bergerac are of course the most benefitting for the grown ups, but children can have a lot of fun too. There is a wild water swimming pool nearby, a zoo, grottes, and a medieval spectacle every week in the high season. The owner of the camping has a rack full of excursion tips and suggestions.
Saint Emilion area
During July and August there is the medieval spectacle in the evening. Once or twice a week hundreds of amateur actors visualize the way of life in the dark Middle Ages. St Emilion is the showpiece of the Bordeaux wines and the town just fits that image. Lovely old cobbled streets going up (or down) very steeply, so high heels are a don't. Old buildings, pretty surroundings, great. One tip: if you want to drink a glass of real St Emilion on a terrace, make sure you have your wallet with you! And enjoy - very slowly...

Further details outdoors: The mobile homes are standing on a large lot of ground, so there is enough space to sit, play, park your car and even set up a small shelter tent. All at once. Enjoy your privacy, while a friendly chat with one of your temporary neighbours is always possible of course.
