About the home
Over 6000 sq. feet, Le Clos has recently been restored and decorated to a high level in French country style, and provides for a luxurious and comfortable stay. There are two reception rooms with working fires, a substantial games/sitting area, large open plan kitchen dining area, utility room, six king size and double bedrooms, two family bathrooms, one en suite bathroom and separate toilet. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped including a LaCanche double oven range cooker. There is a separate utility room with all modern appliances.
All of the rooms have original French shuttered windows with views either onto the garden or the surrounding vineyards and rolling countryside. Immediately outside the kitchen there is an 18 x 16 metre shaded terrace, with tables and chairs for twelve to enjoy dining outside in the warm weather. The boule pitch is next to the terrace (see photos).
The large enclosed 3 acre private walled garden provides a number of beautiful old trees including Hazelnut, Plum, Fig, Horse Chestnut and stunning tall Magnolias. It is a peaceful and quiet haven with several hammocks in which to relax. Set within the garden is a large 13 x 5 metre heated pool and terrace with pool furniture.
Both main house and gîte are arranged to accommodate families including children. There is a full sized cot, four travel cots, separate bed restrainers, high chair, buggy and also plates, cups and cutlery suitable for young children.
