The area enjoys a Mediterranean type micro climate with warm summers, long sunny autumns & less rainfall than many other areas in France.

Saint Emilion, the famous medieval city and wine region, is just a 10 mins drive away.
Libourne 15 mins drive.
Castillon La Bataille great Monday market & site of the last battle & annual re-enactment (August) of the hundred years war is also a 15 mins drive.
Ste Foy-la Grande famous bastide market town on the river Dordogne.
Arcachon the Atlantic ocean & the Pyla dune.
