Nestling in the MIDI PYRENEES region of South West France between Toulouse, Bordeaux et Biarritz, LUCANTE was renovated and transformed in 2006/2007 by a talented architect using traditional materials (cob walls, stucco, whitewash etc..) giving real charm and a pleasant combination of old and modern style. The house sits on the top of a hill on 6 acres of land dominating the famous ASTARAC hills, often compared to TUSCANY, with a panoramic view of the Pyrenees, with wonderful sunsets.

The Midi-Pyrenees / Gers region
The situation between the beaches of Atlantic Ocean ( Biarritz ) , the Pyrenees, the towns of Bordeaux and TOULOUSE, is privileged. This region has a delicious climate, a wonderful landscape and great regional food and wine. You can visit historic sites, the famous " bastides" and enjoy all sorts of music festivals.
Saint Blancard area
The nearest shop (small supermarket) is in Saint Blancard five minutes away, a larger supermarket at Masseube (10 mn) and above all many typical open air market with local products ( foies gras...) St Blancard has a lake (200 ha) 5 mn away with possibility of canoing, sailing, ULM.
