La Briqueterie is a turn of the century character property, carefully renovated to provide an ideal holiday home for a larger family group with children. The surrounding gardens are lovingly maintained by the owners, and there is plenty of lawned area to play on. The house is located in the countryside , on the edge of the traditional market town of Lamballe which has a good selection of shops and restaurants.You can walk to the edge of the town in about 15 minutes, or a 2 minute drive brings you to a bakers to pick up morning croissants. The beautiful sandy beaches of the North Brittany coast can be reached in about 20 minutes by car.
A good choice for a family wanting to explore this beautiful part of France.

On the ground floor, a newly fitted kitchen with dining table with a door to an attractive patio area overlooking the lawn. Her you can enjoy a barbecue while the children enjoy playing on the large lawned areas of the garden.
Also on the ground floor is a comfortable living room with an open fire, and a bedroom with double bed, with shower room and separate WC.
On the first floor are two further bedrooms , each with two single beds. Bathroom and WC.
TV with French channels.

Outside , there is a private drive for parking, a large landscaped gardens with lawns for the children to play on. The external gates can be closed to enclose the garden. The house is accessed by a quiet lane, leading to a public footpath, you can explore the peaceful countryside on foot. The outskirts of Lamballe itself, can be reached on foot in about 15 to 20 minutes, here there is a a bakery and a heated indoor pool.
The owner lives next door, an animal lover she has numerous rabbits, donkeys and goats - she's happy to introduce them to you and your children.
Conditions
We ask for a 25% deposit to secure the booking, the balance is payable 8 weeks before your holiday. A £200 refundable damage deposit is payable 2 weeks before you arrive, this is refunded within 1 week of your departure.
The house will be clean and tidy upon your arrival, we ask you leave it in the same condition when you leave, or you can opt for our cleaning service.
The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region


Brittany is an area of unspoilt natural beauty and well preserved heritage. The long coastline has many safe sandy family beaches, rocky headlands, wild cliffs, and a series of charming seaside towns.
Inland is equally attractive. Stone castles, historic towns and ancient megaliths are sprinkled through the gentle hilly countryside. A wide variety of interests are well catered for , including golf, fishing, all sorts of watersports, hiking and cycling.
The Saint Aaron area
The house is located just outside of Lamballe, a traditional Breton market town with an attractive old centre and a good selection of shops and restaurants . The town has been granted the status of 'Ville D'Art et Histoire' only awarded to those towns which have preserved their heritage.
The beautiful North Brittany coast is about 16km / 9 miles away, here you find the family friendly sandy beaches of Val André and Erquy. Further along the coast is the stunning castle of Fort La Latte, and a string of sandy beaches and resorts - one of our favourites is Saint Cast Le Guildo. The corsair town of St Malo is well worth exploring as is the unspoilt medieval town of Dinan. The ancient abbey of Mont St Michel rising out of the bay has also been a place of pilgrimage - best visited either early or late in the day when it is a bit calmer.
Inland is the is the forest of La Hunaudaye, old woodland ,formerly used for hunting in the Middle Ages. Here you can visit the romantic ruins of Chateau Hunaudaye, built in 1220, from which a network of paths lead off into the forest. Close by is the Ferme D'Antan, a reconstructed Breton farm ,which gives you a chance to step back in time and experience the Breton way of life a hundred years ago.
Coming more up to date, you can spend a day at the outside adventure centre 'Indian Forest' set in a wood with high rope walks , slides and other activities.

A 25% deposit is due on booking , the balance is payable 8 weeks before your holiday. A refundable security deposit of £200 is also payable two weeks before you arrive, this is refunded within a week of your departure.
We can supply the following options for you:
Bed Linen and Towels (17.50 Euros per person per week)
End of Stay Clean (40 Euros)
Normal usage of electricity/gas is included within the rent between May to August. Between September and April, elec/gas is recharged at the end of your stay, this ranges between 15 and 45 Euros depending on consumption.
