About the home
Petit Portail is a unique dwelling built into the medieval rampart walls of the village. This spacious bright and sunny single story apartment offers fabulous views of the nearby village of Seguret and the Dentelle hills and vineyards.
Petit Portail is ideally suited for 2 people but with a sofa bed in the lounge can sleep up to 4. A short stroll to all village amenities including tourist office, bakers, butchers and general store.
There are 3 restaurants ranging from family run informal to Michelin star for that special occasion. There is a traditional cafe with terrace ideal for morning coffee or bistro lunches.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table for 4. There is also extra seating at the breakfast bar for 2.
The lounge area has comfortable seating with satellite TV & CD player. There are fabulous views from each room looking across the hills to the village of Seguret.
There is a large bathroom with bath tub & shower. All towels & linen are provided. There are plenty of useful guide books and maps available.

There are banking facilities with cash point, pharmacy & full medical centre.It's an ideal location for sight seeing, walking and cycling. The nearby Dentelles are popular with rock climbers. Mont ventoux attracts keen cyclists and tour de France fans.

The accommodation is all on one level but there are 3 steps entering the property.
Rentals are normally Saturday to Saturday but we can be flexible particularly in low season.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Vaucluse region
.With over 300 days of sunshine per year this area is an ideal all year round holiday destination. Ideal location for sight seeing. The region is famous for some of the best preserved Roman ruins in Europe.
The incredible Pont de Gard is a pleasant drive away via Chateau-neuf-du-pape. The towns of Avignon, Nimes, Carpentras, Orange, Arles, Aix en provence and Marseille are all within easy distance.
The gorges of the Ardeche and the Camargue region are also accessible for day trips.For a day on the coast Cassis is only 1hr 30 mins away.
The Sablet area
Sablet is in the heart of the Cote du Rhone wine producing region. There are an abundance of wine caves offering tastings and wine tours. The village is set at the foot of the Dentelle Hills and the surrounding views are spectacular.
During the spring and summer there are numerous festivals ranging from the international book festival to jazz concerts in the vineyards. There are local Provence markets on in the surrounding villages everyday offering fresh local produce. You don't have to travel far on beautiful scenic roads to discover lavender fields, rivers and gorges.

Le Petit Portail is a great place to stay for a visit to the Dentelles and Côtes du Rhône area. Beautiful views from all windows, wifi, a huge shower-room, comfortable bed and friendly, attentive owners. The countryside is on your doorstep - just walk out of the door into the vines. Great towns such as Carpentras, Vaison la Romaine, Orange, even Avignon, are just a short drive. Every day is market day somewhere close by but actually Sablet has pretty much everything you need. |

We stayed at Petit Portail for a week last year and enjoyed every minute in the cottage/apartment. It was a second honeymoon for us in this cosy spot. We could not have asked for more - everything was provided. The neighbouring shops and restaurants were great. The local area offered so many opportunities.We are pleased to highly recommend this property. Thankyou Linda for allowing us to stay at this ideal Hill-Top Provence accommodation.
