Renovated in 2012 this studio apartment is located in the Saalbach-Hinterglemm valley. The apartment is a 5 minute walk from the Zwolferkogelbahn lift and the lively town of Hinterglemm with a wide variety of shops, bars and traditional Austrian restaurants only a 10 minute walk.
The apartment has a comfy sofa that pulls out into a double bed and bunk beds that can be screened off from the main 'living' area. The bathroom comes complete with a full size bath and shower as well as a toilet and a sink. The kitchen is small, but well planned with plenty of workspace to prepare food as well as a 2 ring hob and counter top oven. The balcony gets the morning sun and the apartment is well lit by natural light.

The Salzburg Region
The Salzburgerland region of Austria is arguably one of the most famous of its regions. The Austrian Alps with their stunning scenery and vast range of both summer and winter activities make holidaying here enjoyable and fun.
The city of Salzburg - famous for Mozart among other things has a fantastic hill top fortress steeped in history with stunning views of the city and wider region. You can also visit the birthplace of the famous composer. There are many sights to see in and around the city as well as day trips such as the Sound of Music tour that are well worth doing.
Kelsteinhaus or The Eagles Nest was Hitler's 'tea room in the mountains'. Set high above the beautiful village of Berchtesgarten the building is open throughout the year to members of the public.
Saalbach-Hinterglemm is renowned in Austria for its mountain biking and with the winter snow gone a large selection of mountain bike tracks and parks become accessible. If you don't have a bike, renting equipment from bikes to full body armour is easy and available in every village in the valley. The neighbouring valley of Leogang also has one of the longest outdoor zip lines in Europe. Harness up and clip on for a 1.6km ride to the other side of the valley.
For those not so into their adrenaline sports the valley is great for walking and 4 of the main cable cars run throughout the summer to take you to the lofty alpine heights. You can of course, walk up and down and the hiking paths are well marked and easy to follow.
For children there is a crazy golf course in the village and nearby Saalbach has a great water park. Further up the valley is Lengau with a great outdoor adventure area - take a picnic and spend the day! Throughout the summer Hinterglemm has regular festivals in the town centre that include a display of local food and crafts as well as traditional Austrian music and dancing - check out the yodelling photo!
Looking for a quieter, more relaxing holiday - no problem. Hinterglemm and Saalbach have several spa hotels that allow day use of the facilities as well as offereing a wide range of treatments. The Sonnalp hotel, less than 2 minutes from the apartment charges 10EU a day for the use of the swimming pool and sauna.

"Unbeatable value in well equipped studio"
The apartment is small but exceptionally well equipped. We were 4 grown men and we thoroughly enjoyed our week in the apartment. What it lacks in flooorspace it makes up for in a really cosy atmosphere. The beds were all very comfortable and the sofa folded away with ease to create an open living area during the day. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and anything we brought with us they already had. The WIFI and entertainment systems available were first class. It helped that the snow condtitions were truly excellent all week so we were out early and home late most days. There is an excellent restaurant 2 mins away, at the bottom of the hill. I strongly recommend the hinterglemm fish dish. The ski room is huge warm and conveniently located. A car parking space at the apartment would be of benefit but luckily we had friends staying next door and parked there. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. If you are a group of good friends that are on a budget you could not do any better than book this apartment.

"Great location, well equipped, very stylish"
We stayed at the apartment for 4 nights to enjoy Austria in the summer. We really liked the apartment as soon as we walked in - it is very stylishly decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The apartment feels like a home from home.
We mainly self catered and found the kitchen to have everything we needed. Even though it is compact, there is still enough space to make a meal. The main living area is a good size and the balcony is great to sit out on and enjoy the mountain views with a weissbeer.
The location is very good. It is only 5 minutes walk to the Zwolferkogel lift and Reiterkogel is 10-15 minutes walk. The bus stop is 5 minutes walk away if you want to go to Saalbach for more lifts. There are many great walks to enjoy around the mountains and plenty of shops offer mountain bike hire. There is a cash point and a Spar just up the road (about 10 minutes walk) and it is easy to walk into town for the bars and restaurants.
We would definitely recommend the apartment for a summer or winter holiday.

"a little hidden gem in the mountains..."
Tucked up the hinterglemm valley, this small but beautifully presented little apartment is a real find. Its clearly been renovated recently and with a clever use of space it feels bright and airy. We stayed in the summer to do some walking but also enjoyed the staring at the view of the village from the balcony. Seems odd to mention the TV when we came to be outside but on a rainy dsy we decided to watch a film and there are clever sockets on the wall to display the laptop on the TV without fishing for inputs behind - nice touch! Free WiFi wss handy too,
The kitchen was well laid out for a small galley kitchen but had everything we needed.
We found plenty to do around Saalbach and hinterglemm and also ran down the valley to Zel am See, the lake is beautiful in summer - a recommended day out!
not been in winter but looks like you can ski back to the door from the saalbach side of the resort!
