Camber Cottage
About the home
The cottage has been recently furnished to a very high standard and is part of the award winning development at White Sand – it was awarded the Daily Mail Development of the Year 2008. It is just a few minutes walk from the vast sandy beaches and sand dunes of Camber Sands - renowned as being one of the best beaches in Kent.
Camber Cottage is a brand new property, which is being offered for the first time on the holiday lettings market. This spacious cottage is the perfect beach property which offers stylish modern accommodation minutes from the sea.
Decorated and furnished with style, Camber Cottage will appeal to both families and groups of holidaymakers alike. A special feature of the cottage is the large partly-decked courtyard which is perfect for relaxing in after a day on the beach. Unwind and enjoy a leisurely barbeque and a glass of chilled wine, happy in the knowledge that you haven’t had to get into your car to drive to the beach or back again.
Camber Cottage has the advantage of being one of the largest properties on this new development with a large double garage - a great place to store all your beach toys, wet suits and surf boards.

Further details indoors:
A white picket fence and pale blue front door greets you at Camber Cottage. You first enter a small entrance lobby were coats can be hung, then a second door leads into the main house. You are greeted initially by a homely, open plan sitting room decorated in beiges and neutral tones with a burgundy contrast. A comfy large beige sofa with burgundy throw and occasional chairs are grouped around an old pine chest. There is a 26 inch flat screen TV with DVD in one corner with a large modern lamp on a small table. This creates a peaceful ambience and is a wonderful room for guests to relax in.
The main living room is to the right. This is a light spacious family room which has large double doors leading straight onto the decked area. A gorgeous brown leather sofa, which is also a large sofa bed, and other comfy chairs are grouped at one end of the room around a 40” Sony flat screen TV with DVD. The colour theme is beige and aqua, with stylish wooden flooring and coordinating rugs. Attractive floral prints in blues complete the scene. The dining table which seats 8 comfortably is at the other end of the living room which is perfect for entertaining guests. The whole room is particularly light and airy with a spacious feel to it, and having the two seating areas is a wonderful benefit.
Downstairs there is also a separate WC and basin; this is between the kitchen and the living area.
The kitchen is fully fitted and brand new with all machines. Cream wooden units and pale blue walls, along with the wooden flooring adds to the charm of this cottage. Machines include Dishwasher, AEG Electric Hob, AEG Electric Oven, Extractor Fan, and Microwave and the kitchen is well equipped for up to 10 guests. There is a small rustic pine table and two chairs in the kitchen, useful for children’s breakfasts or your morning coffee. Double patio doors lead onto the decked area which has a large round teak table, parasol and chairs for 8. A charcoal barbeque is provided and the garden is fully enclosed with pot plants and a gravelled area beyond the decked seating. Next to the kitchen is a large utility room with AEG washing machine, AEG tumble dryer and large sink. Camber Cottage has full gas central heating and constant hot water, very important for any beach location!
Upstairs are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a large 5” King sized bed with cream bed side tables and modern bed side lamps. With fitted wardrobes there is plenty of space for storage. The beds are all made up with crisp white linen and towels. There are also luxury bathrobes provided in the master bedroom. An en suite shower room next to the master bedroom has large power shower, WC, basin, large heated towel rail and is fully tiled. Luxury L’Occitane soaps and bath goodies are provided and add that extra special touch.
The second bedroom has matching oak antique twin beds which are really comfy, again with crisp white linen and towels. With bedside table, fitted wardrobe and full length mirror every detail has been thought about for guests to enjoy their stay.
The third bedroom has three single beds, and would be perfect for a children’s room. With bedside tables, lamps and fitted wardrobes it has been decorated in neutral colours with attractive prints on the walls, making the room light and peaceful.
The fourth bedroom is a single room which is cosy and quiet. There is a single bed, with bedside table and lamp. As with the other bedrooms there is lovely white linen, and soft fluffy towels are provided.
The family bathroom has a large bath with power shower over, WC, wash hand basin and full length heated towel rail. Part tiled and with painted tongue and groove woodwork this bathroom offers five star luxury. Again wonderful soaps and bath products are provided for guests to enjoy during their stay.

The South East England / Sussex region

Sussex is a county in South East England which has a long coastal area. The coastal towns include Hastings, Brighton, Worthing and Bognor.
The weather in Sussex is some of the best in Great Britain: it has on average more sunshine than any other mainland county.
The Rye / Camber Sands area
Camber Cottage is just a few minutes walk from miles of clean sandy beaches and rolling sand dunes at Camber Sands. To the East is the historic town of Rye with its wonderful winding cobbled streets, full of interesting shops and many restaurants which will serve fresh fish caught locally at Rye Harbour. For those that don’t want to cook Camber Cottage is just a two minute walk from ‘The Place’ which is a fun bistro offering fresh local food.
As the property is next to the sea there are many opportunities for water sports in the area. Rye Watersports offer windsurfing, sailing and canoeing and it is also possible for those seeking a more adventurous sport to try kite surfing and several local companies can arrange this for you.
For the golfer there are famous links courses at Rye and Littlestone, which will challenge all abilities.
Heading inland this part of East Sussex and Kent has much to offer the holidaymaker. With famous gardens to explore and historic castles to visit you will not be short of activities for the whole of your stay. A short drive away is the Chapel Down Vineyards – which is the home of England’s leading premium wine producer and is well worth a visit. With tours and wine tasting available as well as a stunning restaurant, ‘Richard Phillips’, it is the perfect destination for a full day out.
For children of course the beach is the main attraction, but if you want an alternative, the Kent and Sussex Railway and Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway are glorious steam railways perfect for both children and adults alike.
For the garden enthusiast Kent and East Sussex have many wonderful gardens to visit and many an hour can be spent discovering these and enjoying homemade tea and cakes in their tea rooms. Gardens include Hole Park in Rolvenden, Great Dixter in Northiam and the famous Sissinghurst Castle Gardens in Sissinghurst.
