Home description
Seashell Cottage is a charming weather boarded cottage in excellent condition within five minutes of Camber Sands. This would make an ideal holiday base for all the family with lots to see and do right on your doorstop – there are many water sports available on the beach and lessons can be booked if required or just sit back and enjoy the view and build sandcastles on the miles of golden sand.
The cottage is as pretty as a picture inside and the owners have lovingly furnished it with comfort in mind and yet have tried to make it as practical as possible!
There is a sunny enclosed garden to the rear – ideal for relaxing and enjoying your break or having a barbeque!

The South East England / Sussex region
Sussex is a county in South East England which has a long coastal area. The coastal towns include Hastings, Brighton, Worthing and Bognor.
The weather in Sussex is some of the best in Great Britain: it has on average more sunshine than any other mainland county.
Rye / Camber Sands area
Camber Sands is the ultimate sandy beach with a mile long stretch of beach to the south of the smugglers town Rye. The sands stretch as far as the eye can see in both directions and at low tide the sea can be as much as half a mile from the sand dunes!
Rye, 5 miles to the north, is a wonderful mix of winding medieval streets, antique shops and boutiques and the ‘Olde worlde’ charm of a port famous for its smuggling. The town has a water sports centre with among other things a days kite boarding on offer. The unspoilt marshlands of Romney Marsh, beloved of painters for its light and skies, lies just north of Camber. It is ideal for long country walks and bird watching with the odd stop off at the many village pubs that are scattered throughout the stunning countryside.
For golfers, there are 2 courses at Littlestone, one at Lydd, and the championship course at Rye itself. This part of the coastline has more castles to visit than anywhere else in England so you will be spoilt for choice! See our ‘Holiday Information' section for more ideas!
