The most frequent and in our opinion most warming feedback from our guests is that staying in one of the beach houses doesn't feel like being on a self-catering holiday. It feels like being at home with all it's creature comforts but with the added pleasure of being a stones throw from a glorious sandy beach flanked by grassy dunes and clean sea.

The South East England region

East Sussex is remarkably diverse with wild rolling chalk downs, wooded hills, unspoilt open countryside and the famous cliffs and coves of the coastline. Packed with history, it is known as the Bithplace of England - 1066 Country where you can follow the footsteps of William the Conqueror and see where Harold was defeated.

Plenty of architectural treasures dotted around with lovingly preserved Tudor,Georgian and Regency buildings, ancient cottages and elegant town squares and villages with higgledy-piggledy streets and alleys. It has been described as the 'perfect playgound for the young and trendy' is an easy drive from London, and has art galleries, contemporary crafts and design shops , trendy bars, fun night life and stylish restaurants.

East Sussex will tempt the whole family to explore as it offers masses of activities whether you are enjoying a short break or an extended holiday.

Attractions: It's all here in East Sussex...gardens, castles, museums, abbeys, archololigcal sites, farms, wineyards, acquariums and wild life plus a multitude of attractions and adventures for children.

Camber Sands is a one-off gem due to three simple features - nearly 3 miles of golden sand, clean and shallow water and safe swimming that is why is was voted No 9 of the 100 Best Beaches in the World by The Sunday Times Travel Magazine. It also has a Yellow Flag awarded by MCS.

The sheltered village of Camber with shops and amenities seems completely unaffected by its fame and is geared to sea-side life.
