Excellent 5/5 Score from 10 reviews

Cottage | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 2

Key Info
  • Not suitable for children
  • Car essential
  • No pets allowed
  • Private garden

The guest accommodation at Stockhurst comprises two cottages – Aspen and Spindle (see separate listing for 'Aspen'). Both cottages are fitted out to an excellent standard. Each cottage can accommodate two guests.

Spindle benefits from a good sized lounge, a bathroom with over- the- bath shower and a compact kitchen which includes an electric cooker and hob, a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and a fridge-freezer.

All accommodation and the gardens (see below) are on the same level and thus are suitable for guests who are less mobile.

The cottage is accessed via the gravelled driveway to the house; immediately in front of the cottage is a level paved area so that access is trouble free. Internal doors are wider than normal to facilitate movement around the cottage.

The gardens are a particular feature of Aspen, comprising a sitting out area immediately outside the back door which has a hardwood table and chairs and barbecue, a small lawned area and a gravelled area which is planted with shrubs. The garden backs onto private paddocks.

The cottages are intended for occupancy by guests who wish to cater for themselves and with that in mind we will provide new guests with a 'welcome pack' of food and drinks free of charge.

Towels and bed linen are provided but it would be appreciated if guests could bring their own swimming/beach towels.

For guests wishing to take a relaxing holiday in the countryside with access to historical, including National Trust, sites, Stockhurst would make an ideal choice.

Stockhurst farm is a non-working farm situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the village of Beckley near Rye in East Sussex.
