Further details indoors: 15 Wishes shares a communal hallway with one other apartment, once inside the apartment itself you will find one double & one single bedroom with a child size single bed, perfect for a couple or a family with one child, there is also a sofa bed in the living room which can sleep a further 2 people. A travel cot is also available if required.
There are 3 sets of quite steep stairs up to the apartment which may not be suitable for the elderly, there is however use of a stair gate for young children.

Weekly bookings (7 nights) are from Saturday to Saturday. Property is available from 15.00hrs on the start day until 10.00hrs on the finish day.

Rye enjoys plenty of sunshine and mild winters, due to its proximity to France. It is in an enviable location as it is on the border of Kent & East Sussex, so you can explore The garden of England as well as 1066 Country.
There is plenty to visit whilst staying at 15 Wishes, as there are Gardens & Castles in abundance such as Smallhythe Place, Bodiam Castle, Sissinghurst Castle, Great Dixter just to mention a few.....
London, Brighton, Canterbury, Eastbourne & Hastings are all within easy reach if you fancy a day trip.
And the Euro Tunnel is only 40 minutes away - for those quick trips over to France!

Once surrounded by sea, this fortified hilltop town played an important role in the defence of the south coast of England. These days, the river no longer harbours warships and is home to the local fishing fleet, with freshly caught fish available to buy from the quayside.
Meandering for over one and a half miles from Rye to the coast, the river forms part of the picturesque scenery visible from several vantage points in and around the citadel of Rye.

“An enchanting place to stay”
Rye is a beautiful small town which will linger in your memory for a long time. Its full of lovely pubs, winding cobbled streets and beautiful architecture. 15Wishes is in the heart of the town, full of character and very quaint and interesting with lots of great nick knacks. “Sooooo great! Shame about the pidgeons (and the door)”
We had such a wonderful time at 15 Wishes! We loved Rye more than we could have possibly hoped for a week's holiday in the UK. Admittedly we were blessed with wonderful sunshine for 6.5 days of the week, which made wandering up and down the streets of Rye an absolute joy, and made a visit to the nearby beaches akin to a holiday abroad. But nonetheless, if you're going to holiday in the UK, then I'd say that Rye and 15 Wishes in particular represents as good as it gets.
The top-floor apartment (which I miss dearly: I still think about looking out on the rooftops of Rye) has only two floors. The first is that we locked ourselves inside all too easily. I can't even say that we were being muppets, rather the door lock has a serious flaw (basically, you can't lock it from within) for if you do, you're trapped for a good 20 mins or so while you giggle and wiggle until you manage to find how to get the lock to unlock. The second flaw is the gosh-damned pidgeons that are sleeping next to your head when in the master bedroom! By day 2 we were sleeping on the pullout bed in the lounge and letting our child (who is noise unaware) sleep in the master bedroom.
But despite that we think that 15 wishes is fabulous - the decor is kooky and wonderful - and Rye is wonderful

I would like to respond to your comments regarding the door, we are so sorry that you experienced problems, we thought that our explanation regarding the lock were understandable, but we fully respect that this was not the case. We have not had any other issues regarding the lock with other guests, however we will look into this as we would hate to think you were locked inside for 20 minutes! Your second point regarding the birds, we are aware that we have birds nesting in the rooftops, like most other properties in Rye. I was not aware that you found this a problem, during the Spring and Summer we are not allowed to move nests - and I am aware that the eggs have now hatched as we were informed by our last guests. Once the birds have flown the nest we will ensure that it is removed to restore the peaceful sleep in the bedroom.

“An absolute gem in a beautiful part of the country!”
I've now stayed at 'Wishes' 3 times and will continue to go back, it's like a home from home. As well as the 'groceries' provided on arrival such as bread, milk, butter, wine (a staple!), there are DVDs, music, liquorice allsorts (!), and all the other home comforts you just don't get in a lot of places. The apartment is well decorated, with quirky touches and I love the fact it's right in the heart of Rye. I've stayed on my own as well as with friends, and friends have stayed with their kids, ideal for anybody! The owners have provided lots of touristy info as well as highlights for restaurants, coffee shops and other local attractions and things to do. It's about a mile from Camber Sands, a gorgeous stretch of beach, idyllic! I felt really looked after here and there's obviously been a lot of thought gone in to what makes someone's break special, it's defintely Wishes!
Very comfortable and imaginatively furnished flat, with lots of nice litle touches like CDs, DVDs, a welcome bottle of wine and loaf of bread. And a fascinating town that it's in the centre of. Steep stairs to get to the flat are the only downside, but that goes with the quirkiness.
