Bungalow | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 8
Tollgate Bungalows are a collection of properties situated within a small gated community just 50 metres from the beach. The setting of the bungalows is idyllic, with the estuary to the rear of the site. They are located just off the seafront in the picturesque village of Seaview.
The village centre is just a two minute walk away, here you will find a handful of shops and pubs to enjoy. Seaview is aptly named as it has far reaching and ever changing views of the Solent –the strait separating the Isle of Wight from mainland England. Seaview is one of the most prestigious areas in the Isle of Wight and is particularly popular with the sailing community. Families also flock to the village to enjoy the beautiful beaches such as, Seagrove Bay and Priory Bay. Well worth a day out and only a few minutes’ walk from Tollgate Bungalows is Seaview Wildlife Encounter, where you can meet rare animals and birds.
Tollgate Bungalows benefit from a great location, as well as being only minutes away from the village centre of Seaview, the popular town of Ryde is only three miles away. Ryde is the largest town on the island and boasts miles of golden sandy beaches and an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars and attractions. If visiting towards the end of summer, be sure to catch the Carnival. The town holds the oldest Carnival in the UK, when floats from all over the island come together to create the biggest, brightest spectacle of the year.
On the journey back from Ryde towards Seaview be sure to stop at a place called Puckpool Park. This was once a Victorian Fortification Battery used to guard the Solent, nowadays it’s the perfect place to enjoy the fantastic sea views. There is also a children’s play park, tennis courts, mini golf and beautiful gardens.
There is so much to do in the area, that after a busy day you will be pleased to come back to Tollgate Bungalows and relax in comfort. If you don’t feel like cooking the Boat House Pub and Restaurant is only metres away, serving fresh local produce.
