Wisteria Cottage and adjoining Chalet and Lodge can accommodate up to eleven people or, they can be divided into three self-contained units with Wisteria sleeping up to five, the Chalet up to four and Lodge two persons. To accommodate an additional 4 persons Lavender Cottage is just next door, Somercot is opposite with accommodation for another 4 making a total of 19 in all.
All accommodation has double glazing and full central heating assuring guests of a warm and comfortable stay whatever the season. With a large garden available, in the summer this property is ideal for family parties, reunions and weddings.
Two other self catering cottages are also available in Caldecott village. These can be viewed on the owners website.

Rutland area
Caldecott nestles within the picturesque Welland Valley in the county of Rutland, only 3 miles from Corby, 8 miles from Market Harborough, 12 miles from Kettering, and less than 15 miles from the historic town of Stamford, making it the perfect location for both the holiday visitor and business traveller choosing to explore this part of ‘Secret England’. Visit the historical Burghley House, which has many events throughout the year.
There’s a wealth of things to see nearby, including the historic Rockingham Castle, commissioned by William the Conqueror, Eyebrook reservoir, internationally renowned for trout fishing and Rockingham speedway, home of NASCAR motor racing in Europe. . Rutland Water for birdwatching, cycling, fishing. Eyebrook reservoir for trout fishing. Market towns of Uppingham and Oakham. Village inns with special ales.
How to get there
FROM THE NORTH:
Travelling south on the motorway M1 - exit at junction 19. Take A14 eastbound towards Kettering, leaving A14 at junction 7. Travel on the A43 for 2 miles, then onto A6003 signposted Oakham and Melton Mowbray. Pass through Rockingham on the A6003 and continue for a further 1.5 miles to Caldecott.
Travelling south on trunk road A1 - exit onto A43 at Stamford and head towards Kettering, leaving A43 at its junction with A47. Head towards Leicester, on the A47, leaving it at Uppingham, at the junction with A6003, signposted Corby and Caldecott. Keep going, Caldecott is just 4 miles away.
FROM THE SOUTH:
Travelling north on Motorway M1 - exit at junction 15 and onto the A508 towards Wellingborough. Within 5 miles exit A508 onto A43 heading towards Kettering (10 miles). At junction A14/A43 head towards Corby on A14. At next exit take A43, signposted Corby / Stamford. Leave A43 onto A6003, signposted Oakham and Melton Mowbray. Pass through Rockingham on A6003 and continue for another 1.5 miles to Caldecott.
Travelling north on trunk road A1,exit at Huntingdon, onto A14 westbound. Leave A14 at junction 7 onto A43 for 2 miles and then onto A6003 towards Oakham and Melton Mowbray. Pass through Rockingham on the A6003 for another 1.5 miles to Caldecott.
Wisteria Cottage (23 Main Street) and Magnolia Cottage (21 Main Street) are situated in the centre of the village on the A6003. Both cottages are well signposted but, should you be unable to find us contact the owner, Mel Hudson .

All units have stereo music centres, video recorders or CD players and plenty of indoor games to play and books to read. The Lodge has Satalite TV. (freesat)
The kitchens are fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave and a multi burner hob with oven. Wisteria cottage also has a washing machine and dishwasher.
The tastefully decorated bathrooms all have shower units, shaver points, a hairdryer and a wide selection of complimentary toiletries.
The property has attractive tastefully furnished bedrooms each offering a high level of luxury. An additional cot can be provided if required.
