Deep in the Suffolk countryside, this lodge is one of a pair of self catering cottages on a working farm. The farm combines growing arable crops with raising 'free-range' Bronze and Norfolk Black Turkeys which are reared according to the Traditional Farmfresh Turkey Association [TFTA] high standards with full time attention 7 days a week.
The cottages have been recently built in timber in an Australian style with a verandah and provide both spacious and stylish accommodation for two couples or a small family, with a travel cot provided for a baby.
One of the attractions to this lodge is that all the accommodation is on one level with a ramp for wheel chairs or prams/buggies, and with easy access into the shower cubicle for those with mobility difficulties. Other attractions include comfortable furniture and attractive furnishings, a large range of equipment meeting Tourist Board standards and the personal attention of the owners of the farm who will meet and greet you at the lodge.
Secondly, the addition of a wide and spacious veranda on which to sit and enjoy the peaceful Suffolk landscape is a true bonus and finally, you are invited to fish in the lake and this is included in the price of the holiday.

Halesworth is a small market town (population of around 6000) in the north east corner of Suffolk, England. It is located 15 miles south west of Lowestoft, and straddles the River Blyth, nine miles upstream from Southwold. The town is served by Halesworth railway station on the Ipswich-Lowestoft East Suffolk Line.
Rumburgh area
Halesworth's New Cut Arts, a centre for arts in the community, offers arts, music, theatre, dance, comedy, cinema, workshops and art exhibitions to the local area. It has a cafeteria and licensed bar and is a registered charity, relying on the support of the local community and its 500 Club benefactors.
Halesworth also hosts the "Gig in the Park" which is a showcase of local, national, and international musical talent. The event was started by The Cult's bassist Jamie Stewart aka Jo Marshall and takes place over three days in August every year. Acts previously featured include Suzi Quattro, The Stranglers, The Beat, The Selecter and The Buzzcocks. The Jungle Tent features up and coming bands and DJs.
Halesworth has the largest Millennium Green in the UK with around 44 acres of grazing marsh providing a haven for wildlife close to the town centre. The rivers in this area are home to heron, kingfisher and otter.
