The Cottage at Monclaire is set in beautiful countryside and is ideally situated to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet and the wonderful wildlife.The Gite has fabulous access to all the local attractions, the beaches,watersports,waterparks and the fabulous seaside towns of St Malo, Cancale and Dinard and the medieval towns od Dinan, Dol-de-Bretagne and Combourg. Monclaire has the added attraction of being within a very short stroll of fantastic, panoramic views of Le Mont St Michel. The gite has 3 bedrooms and is equipped for modern living.The stunning views can be apprecited from either of the two terraces and from the light and airy consevatory area.

The Brittany / Ille-et-Vilaine region
Brittany is packed with things to do and has some of the most beautiful towns in France.Our location also includes Normany, so we get two for the price of one.This area is most famous for being so close to Le Mont St Michel, which is steeped in history.We are lucky to be within a short drive of some of the best examples of Medieval architecture,such as the towns of Dinan and Combourg and we are close to the fantastic sandy baeches which surround the seaside towns of St Malo, cancale and Dinard.Dinard has a yearly film festval and is famous for being very popular with the victorians.Short boat trips take you between Dinard and st Malo, if you dont fancy driving. Brittany is surrounded by rolling ,green countryside and has an attractive climate,especailly during the spring and summer months.
Roz Sur Couesnon area
Roz Sur Couesnon is a quaint little village, centred around the church.It has a general store and bar,a bakery and butcher and even a hairdressers.Every year its holds its own carboot sale and has a summer music festival.The village is set high on a hill and has a special garden area with fabulous views of Le Mont St Michel and the surrounding bay area.
How to get there
Easy access from the ferry ports of St Malo, 25 minutes, Cherbourg and Caen Ferry port sonly 90 minutes,Roscoff ferry port only 3 hours.Rennes airport is only 45 minutes and Dinard airport is only 25 minutes away.

Further details indoors: The gite is a 3 bedroom renovated cottage with high oak beams and real wood floors.The rooms are bright and airy and the bathroom is a modern room with multi-massage shower,wash basin and wc. the lounge is a comfortable sitting area with dvd/video player and satellite tv.The Gite also has a large library of films, books and games.The wood burning fire is fabulous on a cold evening.The room that everyone loves is the conservatory.This room has windows on three sides and two double interior doors allowing access to the lounge and kitchen areas.The conservatory is light and spacious and gives you the feeling of being outdoors whilst having the comfort of being indoors.This room has a comfortable siiting area where you can watch the wildlife or have a glass of wine or just read a book, it also has a large dining area where the family can all sit together to enjoy a meal, whilst watching the wildlife in this beautiful setting overlooking the garden and terrace.
Further details outdoors: The exterior of the property is private and has plenty of private parking.The large lawned area is ideal for kicking a ball around or playing badminton etc.The meadow beyond the garden belongs to the Gite and is fantastic for running around with a kite.The garden area also has two terrace areas and a BBQ area.One of the terraces leads directly to the conservatory and the other BBQ area leads directly to the kitchen.Outdoor furniture is provided during your stay.

The owners are nearby to the Gite and can advise or help if required.The Gite is equipped with a tourist pack, giving specific details of attractions.We also have a cot which can be used upon request.Changeover day is saturday.Highchair available, cot available, log fire and logs available.

This is a no smoking property,but we allow smokers to smoke outside if they wish.We do not accept pets, sorry! 50% of the total cost of the gite rental is required when booking and six weeks before our guests arrival we ask for the remainder of the balance plus a refundable security deposit of £100.
