The villa is light and airy with a beautiful large sitting room superbly furnished with taste. The fully fitted kitchen is open plan, dish washer, gas cooker & micro wave oven.
The long sandy beaches are only 5 minutes drive, La Grande Cote is only 3 minutes drive with the big waves of the Atlantic Ocean, for surfing. St.Palais sur Mer & Royan at 5 minutes drive. The Zoo at La Palmyre 15 minutes.

The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Charente Maritime region
The Charente Maritime is noted for its micro climate, 2500 hours of sunshine per year and this is official!! We are 40 minutes away from theold city of Saintes which is on the river Charente well worth a visit, it has many Roman remains. Bordeaux is just over an hour away with its monuments and the vine yards . The Medoc is also interesting, you take the boat from Royan. Cognac also well worth a visit for the Pineau and the Cognac. The Zoo at La Palmyre is ideal for a rainy day The Aquarium at La Rochelle, is superb, also to visit the town.
Royan / St Palais Sur Mer area
For everyone the beaches of this area are fantastic for adults and children alike, all at only a few minutes drive. from Villa Palmiers. Saint Georges die Didonne is a wonderful place with miles of golden beach and the lovely old town with its cafes and bars , restaurants with the wonderful menus. Every day there are markets in the local villages selling the local produce and the sea foods. Fabulous!!!

Ferries from Caen, Cherbourg, Le Havre or Calais. The shortest is Caen only about 5 hours journey.

Further details indoors: Villa Figiuers which is newly built, is in a quiet situation with a beautiful private garden, with a table and 6 chairs. There are sunbeds and parasols. There is a superb swimming pool 12m X 6 m with a roman steps into the pool. With terraces around the pool. The pool is shared with the owners, which they rarely use. There is another shower with a w.c. in the pool house. The pool is in the owners garden and only a few strides away.
There are tennis courts in the village at one minute away.
Further details outdoors: The villa is detached and we live next door , so on hand if any problems.

The swimming pool is open from April to the beginning of October.
Conditions
We ask for 30% deposit on booking and the balance to be paid 8 weeks before the start of your holiday. A caution cheque of £200 which is not cashed and will be returned to you if no damages occur. The money must be paid in Euros by a bank transfer.
