The apartment comprises of a spacious and welcoming sitting room with views to Arthurs Seat and Canongate Kirk. There is a flat screen Freeview TV and DVD player , digital radio and CD player, ipod and ipad docking station and free Broadband access.

There are two bright bedrooms – one double and one twin both with en-suite and also a separate family bathroom. The apartment sleeps 4 and an extra folding bed for a child is available.

The kitchen diner is bright and spacious , fully fitted with microwave, dishwasher etc. and is very well equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay. This is a non smoking apartment.

The apartment is on the second floor and has a lift and full mobility access and also has gated underground parking - a huge bonus in the centre of town.

Old Tolbooth Wynd is ideally situated for Waverley Station – 5 minute walk and around a 10 minute walk from the bus station or the airport bus stops.

Walk through the private courtyard and you will find yourself in the Canongate area of the Royal Mile through the Old Tolbooth Arch built in 1581. Turn left to visit the historic Canongate Kirk and churchyard and the scene in 2011 of the Queen’s granddaughter’s wedding. Keep walking and you will soon come to Holyrood Palace , the Scottish Parliament and Dynamic Earth or climb Arthur’s seat for a panoramic view of the city.

Turn right at the arch and wander up the High Street to the Castle passing John Knox’s House , St, Giles Cathedral, the Old Parliament building and much more.

Exit the building onto Calton Road and it is a 5 minute walk to John Lewis and Harvey Nicholls and across St Andrews Square to the shops of George Street and Princess Street. There is also a Vue cinema complex at the top of Calton Road.

There are a wide selection of bars and restaurants in the Royal Mile and in town to suit all tastes and budgets. There is an information package in the apartment with recommended places to eat and details of places to visit.

The apartment is very well equipped and includes a super kitchen/diner, full central heating, free wifi, ipod/pad docking station etc. The secure parking is accessed via an electrically operated gate and is located at basement level of the building.

A short walk across the courtyard finds in in the Royal Mile and access to many bars, restaurants and shops.

The Edinburgh region

The apartment is in the Canongate area of the Royalmile which leads from Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood Palace. The area is steeped in history and walking in any direction will lead you past many landmarks of Scottish history from the 16th century to the present day. The area offers many interesting bars, restaurants and shops.

Royal Mile

In August there is the world famous Edinburgh Festival with its thousands of shows and Military Tattoo.Other festivals and attractions run continuously throughout the year. Visit Dynamic Earth, the newly refurbished museum, art galleries or numerous other attraction all within walking distance from the apartment.

"Excellent, comfortable, spacious apartment in unbeatble location to see Edinburgh"

The apartment is very convenient for the train station from which all the Edinburgh bus tours go from and also the airport bus. The apartment is also very central making walking to Holyrood one way and Edinburgh Castle the other all very easy indeed. Everything in between is even easier. Bars and restaurants are all nearby, but so are convenience stores so you are not forced to eat out. The apartment is therefore a great base to explore Edinburgh city centre from. The tour buses and local buses then take you further out to some excellent locations - the zoo and Britannia to name but two fantastic attractions. The apartment was superb. Very clean and spacious, with all you need for a stay in Edinburgh - much better than hotel rooms with nothing to do but wait for the next meal stop. Here we were able to stretch out, watch television, play board games (provided) and literally watch the world go by. This is a great comfort at the end of a busy day seeing the sights - especially if you have young children. Our trip was made all the better by this apartment. Thank you.

"Superb Edinburgh apartment"

This really is a first class apartment in every way. Firstly, the location could not be better. Right on the Royal Mile so only a short stroll to all the tourist attractions, shops, restaurants & bars etc. The secure underground parking is a real bonus too. Car parking in central Edinburgh is not easy & can work out pretty expensive, so this is a real plus point. The apartment itself is larger than we expected. The kitchen/diner is well laid out & is provided with everything you would ever need if you wanted to do your own cooking. The huge loung is beatifully furnished & a great place to flop on the extremely comfy sofas after a long day of sightseeing. The bedroms are great too & you are spoilt for choice with three bathrooms! Everything is absolutely spotless too. All in all I would not hesitate to reccommend this apartment & we will definitely be staying here again next time we are in Edinburgh.

"Great base to visit Edinburgh"

The apartment was ideal for three adults and a baby. The location couldn't have been better a short walk to all the places we wanted to visit. We had travelled by car from Spain and the private car park gave us peace of mind. The apartment has three bathrooms which was great and all fixture and fittings were very high quality.
