dirty, chipped potts, smoking fire, cold central heating, stained and ripped bed linen, broken furniture.................the list is endless! Response: I thank everyone for there feedback, but i sould have heard alarm bells ringing when firstly this person started asking a reduction over the phone which i kindly did, but when they arrived it wasnt one complaint it was 1 after another. I have taken into account what they said and if there any repairs need doing i will endevour to sort them out. Can i just say i arranged to meet these people at at 10am on there departure and when i got there they had gone and left the cottage [ UNLOCKED ] with dirty towels and pots strown all over the house, and the central heating left on full blast which proves it worked, so what does that say about these people, ill leave you all to decide. I would say that 95% of guests who come to stay love Strawberry cottage but i guess you cant please everyone. |

Stayed at the cottage for a long weekend as we were attending a wedding at nearby East Lodge Hotel. Perfect location not only for the wedding venue but for nearby attractions; Haddon Hall, Chatsworth House and the beautiful surrounding villages. Richard, the owner was there upon our arrival to share local information and interesting places to visit. The cottage was clean, warm and welcoming and we found it perfect for our short family break. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with the added bonus of a complimentary bottle of wine chilling in the fridge! (milk, eggs, butter also) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. |
