Location: In the picturesque village of Rowen, just a few miles from the coast and the walled, castle town of Conwy. Within the Snowdonia National Park, this popular village has pub, shop and restaurant, all within walking distance of the cottage, and coarse fishing lakes half a mile away. Numerous local footpaths take you up towards Tal y Fan and into the Carneddau mountain range, with ancient tracks to Llanfairfechan and Abergwyngregin.

Accommodation: A delightful bijou cottage for two people, this former village cobbler's home has one bedroom (reached via a narrow ships ladder staircase with alternating treads), shower room with drench showerhead, and kitchen-lounge-diner with wood stove for cosy evenings.

Facilities include central heating, microwave, DVD player. Bed linen and towels are supplied, heating and electricity are included in summer, seasonal supplement £15. This is a no smoking property.

The popular seaside resort of Llandudno, several World Heritage sites like the stunning Caernarfon Castle and the impressive Pontcysyllte aqueduct designed by Thomas Telford, there is the Mediterranean styled village of Portmeirion, not to mention the many art galleries, studios, museums and theatres which form part of the rich cultural heritage of this amazing country.

Rowen

A beautiful area covering the land leading North from Betws Y Coed to the walled castle town of Conwy by the coast. This area offers beautiful countryside and quiet villages, not to mention all the outdoor activities like mountain biking, fishing, walking, climbing, horse riding and so much more. There are a number of high quality restaurants and cafes, and a good transport network of roads and a railway allowing quick access to Snowdonia in the South and West and the coast to the North.
