Home description

A luxurious studio apartment in the historic centre of Rovinj, perfect for a romantic getaway. The flat is very light and airy. A large window gives a wonderful view of the harbour from this peaceful top floor position. Two further windows look onto the St Euphemia church tower and onto a courtyard below. Although the air conditioning is very effective, in the summer we usually prefer open windows and the lovely sea breeze! The furnishing is of high quality with solid oak flooring, modern kitchen, a generous leather sofa and a comfortable, broad double bed. The shower is excellent. Although the apartment is intended for a couple we do provide an extra single bed at no extra cost.

The Istria region

The west coast of Istria gets an average of 2400 hours of sunshine a year. The water of the Mediterranean is particularly clean and clear here - even in the busy Rovinj harbour. The coast is predominantly limestone with many outcrops, coves, inlets and small beaches. There are several islands nearby which can either be reached by hiring a small motor boat or by ferry.


Rovinj area

Rovinj is the best preserved seaport in Istria, and is a splendid place to relax. The beautiful historical centre is pedestrian only, with lots of intriguing alleys, art galleries and Italianate architecture. On the top of the hill a broad plaza in front of the imposing St Euphemia's Church gives a lovely outlook over the sea and harbour. The quayside around the harbour has a good choice of cafes, coffee bars and restaurants.

Ryanair flies to Pula (30 minutes by regular bus from the airport.) Ryanair also flies to Trieste (2.5 hours); Easyjet flies to Rijeka from Bristol and Luton (2.5 hours- hire car) or ferry from Venice (3 hours) ferry pier is 5 minutes walk of the apartment. Budget hire car or contact us for a good value, reliable Croatian car hire.

* Balance due 30 days before arrival.
* Property not suitable for children under 6.
