The Istria region

An area of breathtaking beauty and one of the most eco-friendly regions in Europe. The clear crystal waters of the Adriatic sea are renowned for yachting, fishing and, more recently, diving.

A paradise for food lovers. Many super local restaurants specialising in good fresh local produce and fish.

Mediterranean climate with long hot sunny days in Summer, mild Winters and warm Springs.


Rovinj / Centener area

Rovinj is a historic old town with a beautiful harbour and marina. The centre of the old town is a traffic free zone and all local amenities (shops, restaurants etc) are accessible by foot.

The national park is just five minutes walk away. Great for cycling, walking or for swimming and sunbathing in one onf the many rocky coves or man made shingle beaches.

Daily boat trips to the nearby islands.

Other excursions include: the Limski Canal - a beautiful fjiord which can be visited by boat from Rovinj; the pretty inland medieval towns of Bale and Motovun; Brijuni Island - a national conservation area and formerly President Tito's summer palace.


How to get there

Ryanair - Stansted to Pula (transfer time 30 minutes). 3 flights a week throughout the year.

Ryanair - Stansted to Trieste (transfer time 2 hours).

Easy Jet - Luton - Venice (Marco Polo). Daily boat service in summer from Venice direct to Rovinj (see Venezia
