The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur region

The Luberon, one of the most beautiful areas in the south of France. Acres of vineyards and orchards, spectacular colours and light, the Luberon is home to some of the most beautiful villages in France. Whether you enjoy hiking, biking or just wandering through the many vibrant markets, there is something to be found for every taste.

A short drive south will take you to the medieval town of Les Baux where you can participate first hand in some medieval events or visit the sound and light show at the Carrieres de Lumieres. On the way you can visit Arles, the home of VanGogh, or closer to home visit the famous antique markets at Isle sur la Sorgue or for the more adventurous, go canoeing down the Sorgue. Then there is always golf.

Roussillon itself is home to the magnificent ochre mines, the colours of which must be seen to be believed. During the spring, the area is rich with blossoms from the fields of fruit trees, the wild flowers and the beautiful poppies growing wild everywhere. Summer is the time of the lavender which grows in abundance throughout the area.
