Don't just imagine your dream holiday ...... now you can make it happen at Chateau Colombier.

Here you'll find the character of an old country house but with all the modern comforts you expect nowadays. It's plenty big enough for an extended family celebration or for a group of friends holidaying together.

Come and enjoy the easy and relaxed French lifestyle. Buy local food at the markets and wine from the vineyards to eat together by the pool or under the shade of the verandah. You'll appreciate the space of its large character bedrooms each with their private modern bathrooms/shower rooms. And soak up the sunshine and the unspoilt views all around you, in one of the most authentic and beautiful areas of rural Provence.

With space for 16 in the main house and an independent studio/gite with disabled access Le Colombier offers an ideal holiday location for extended families, groups of friends and reunions.

Come and discover one of the most respected wine regions of France, in the heart of a countryside that has an abundance of unspoiled picturesque villages, mountain scenery and superb local food.

The kitchen is generously equipped and we've even included the cookbook classics for inspiration and enlightenment. Whether you choose to eat in the formal dining room, the spacious kitchen or outside around long tables on the terrace beside the beautiful pool, Colombier is the perfect place to enjoy those long, lingering meals…

We've included those little extras that make all the difference: Wi-fi access throughout the house, a well-stocked library, dvd selection, games, jigsaw puzzles and local maps and information; all freely available to our guests.

Relax outside in the walled pool garden and enjoy the sun or the shade under the veranda surrounded by fragrant flowers and aromatic herbs. The area is landscaped with paths, paved areas, terraces and raised beds containing a wide collection of colourful plants, climbing roses and leafy vines.

Everyone who comes to Chateau Colombier is amazed by the beauty of the surrounding area; and from there it only gets better! Our visitors say that the pictures don't do justice to the size, the comfort, the great location, the views.

With 300 days sunshine a year, we're open all year round. Warm and cosy in winter (wood burning stoves and full central heating), the house is cool and calm in the heat of summer. The 2-metre thick walls and the shutters provide eco-friendly climate control.

Chateau Colombier is flexible, from renting the whole house, top floor apartment, the studio/gite or chambres d'hote. Please contact us for details.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur region

It is when you arrive in Montélimar that everything changes… The sky becomes clearer, the building fronts show their ochre colors and the accent lights up…

Drôme Provençale is the most southern territory of the Rhône-Alpes region, with a mediterranean climate. Regardless of the season, you will always enjoy the nice weather and the remarkable light! Sportsmen or beginners, Drôme Provençale offers you a wide range of sports activities (hiking, horse riding, biking, mountain biking, paragliding, climbing, swimming...) as well as outdoor activities to discover the richness of our landscapes and the beauty of our preserved nature.

Drôme Provençale also has an abundance of wonderful villages and historical sites with a rich and mysterious past. Your discoveries of sites, heritage and local arts and crafts will be unlimited!

Also, the favourable "terroir" of Drôme Provençale enables nature to offer a large panel of agricultural productions. This diversity of tastes, flavours and scents gives all its originalty to our territory: olives and olive oil, truffles, wine, garlic, "picodon", goat cheese, small spelt wheat, nougat, honey, summer fruits, lime tree, lavender...
