About the home

This privately own Villa is rented directly from its U.K. owners with no agents or commissions.

It is maintained in lovely condition by the owners and their local professional management company who are always available should you need help or advice.

This lovely Villa which backs onto a lake is located in the tranquil and safe Broadmoor area of Rotunda, a residential area within a conservation area with golf courses near by.

The villa is fully air conditioned and has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard with cable television in the family room and master bedroom and DVD and hi-fi. Internet access is available on request.

Enjoy the bright spacious lounge with large sliding doors opening out to the lanai and deck area, or you can relax in the family room which also has access to the deck area.

Indoor eating can be in the dinette which also has direct access to the lanai or for more formal occasions the dining room, which is beautifully furnished offers a relaxing ambience. The fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar has a fridge/freezer, cooker with built-in microwave and dishwasher. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and separate dryer.

The master bedroom with queen size bed has sliding doors that open out onto the sun deck. The luxury en-suite has a spa bath, walk-in shower and twin vanity units and a separate toilet. There is a large walk-in wardrobe. A spacious 2nd bedroom has a double bed and wardrobes and shares a family bathroom with the 3rd bedroom which has twin beds and wardrobes.

All bed linen and house and beach towels are provided. Hair dryers are available in each bathroom. In the family room the settee converts into a queens size bed.

The large pool deck facing South-West overlooking a large lake and woodland enjoys the sun from sunrise to sunset. There is plenty of room round the solar heated pool and spa for relaxing and sunbathing on the sun loungers provided. The Lanai (covered area part of the pool deck) offers a cool shaded area to relax and has dining table and 6 chairs.

Relax and watch the spectacular sunsets after a long day in the sun. There is a gas barbecue provided and there is an option to have the spa electrically heated. For safety there is a child guard around the pool. There is a door from the pool deck to the family bathroom.

The double-garage with electrically opening door has 2 bicycles and various beach equipment for guest use.

There are 3 supermarkets within 5 minutes drive, glorious beaches are 15 minutes away and numerous golf courses on your door-step. There is a fabulous range of restaurants available in the area to suit all tastes. You will also find a wealth of wild life including dolphins, pelicans and osprey, state parks, fishing, sailing and diving, all within the area.

The Florida / Florida Gulf Coast region

The villa is situated in Rotonda West on the Cape Haze Peninsula in Charlotte County. The nearest town is Port Charlotte and there is easy access to all that the rest of Florida has to offer.

This area is one of Florida's best kept secrets with numerous beautiful white sandy beaches only 15 minutes drive away. Its a nature lovers paradise with birds such as osprey and pelicans, and wild life such as turtles in abundance.

A holiday here can be as active or relaxing as you want to make it. Within Rotunda West there are 5, 18 hole golf courses and there are many more within a 20 minute drive. The area boasts world class fresh and salt water fishing along with unlimited boating opportunities. Hire a boat and explore the intercoastal waterways down to Fort Myers or up to Sarasota stopping off at uninhabited islands on the way. Alternatively, charter a boat with a skipper to take you out into the Gulf of Mexico to catch Marlin and watch sunsets to die for.

There are many nature reserves and state parks in the area and you can take river boat trips up the Peace River to see the wonderful flora and fauna.

Just north of Rotunda/Englewood are the lovely towns of Venice and Sarasota. Visit the wonderful Ringling Museum and the Marine Centre. If you love to shop don't miss St Armands Key.

The island off Fort Myers and the elegant town of Naples to the south are well worth a visit. Just south of Naples you are in the Everglades.

The Rotonda West / Broadmoor area

There are 3 supermarkets within a 5 minute drive. There is a fabulous range of restaurants and sports bars available in the area to suit all tastes. There is even now an English Pub, The Pig and Whistle. Port Charlotte has the nearest shopping mall with Maceys, J C Penny, Sears, Beals and Dillards. There is a cinema and other restaurants within the mall and numerous other shops in the locality. Dearborn Street In Old Englewood Village offers relaxing dining, unique shops, antiques, art galleries and special events.

Art galleries, festivals and exhibits, a professional symphony orchestra and theatrical productions offer artistic and cultural experiences the year round. History buffs will want to soak up Charlotte Harbour & the Gulf Islands with its rich past at its varied museums, ranging from the Charlotte County Historical Centre to a refurbished home that now houses an African-American museum.

With more than 70 parks, preserves and recreational areas, Charlotte Harbor & the Gulf Islands encourages inland exploration, as well as waterfront strolling. Nature enthusiasts will want to hike and bike along park paths for possible encounters with birds of almost every feather, turtles and other local wildlife

Located halfway between Tampa and Naples on the Southwest Florida Gulf coast, Charlotte Harbour & the Gulf Islands is a charming collection of nine coastal communities surrounding the state's second largest harbour.

There is direct flight from Gatwick to Tampa with British Airways. From Tampa it is a 90 minute drive to the villa. There are also 2 local international airports at Sarasota and Fort Myers which are 50 minutes away.

Additionally Orlando is a 2½ drive and Miami is 3½ hours.

“brilliant place, had everything you needed” The place was great, it was clean, and very well managed, it was like being at home they had everything you needed from kitchrn equipment to hairdryers and striaghtners, it was good to just chill out by the pool my daughter really enjoyed it, she could go in the pool at anytime even on an evening. There was plenty of wildlife, we used the bikes that where provided, and also the beach equipment,they even had a a cool box and ice packs to use. There are plenty of places to eat, or you could stay at home and use the BBQ which we did. I would reccomend the villa to my friends and family,if we ever go back to america we would book the villa again. If your lucky you might even see the aligator sun bathing on the river, we saw him twice when we where out walking.

We had a great time and were very impressed with your villa. It was well presented, very clean, with lovely furnishings and of course the kids loved the swimming pool and assorted pool toys.
