About the home

Our lovely 3-bedroom Villa is located in the tranquil and safe Pinehurst District of Rotonda – a residential community with five golf courses within a conservation area – and is ideally located for hassle free travel.

Facing south west, the solar heated swimming pool and electrically heated spa, enjoys the sun from mid-morning through to early evening – perfect for taking your breakfast, lunch and dinner outside (a BBQ is available for your personal use).

The Villa is fully air conditioned and has been furnished and equipped to the very highest of standards– it feels like home as soon as you step through the front door.

The master suite has a queen-sized bed, TV, its own walk-in wardrobe, an en-suite bathroom with spa bath and walk-in shower, 'his and her' vanity units. The suite has doors opening onto the pool area.

Bedroom 2 has a double bed and TV, and bedroom 3 has twin beds – both bedrooms have built in wardrobes. These bedrooms are separated by the family bathroom with shower.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has an informal dining area with doors that open onto the pool deck. The laundry room is conveniently placed off the kitchen having a washing machine and a tumble dryer, and provides access to the garage.

There is a separate sitting area with midi CD & radio system (and plenty of books for you to read). The lounge has a cathedral ceiling and is tastefully furnished with two leather settees, and there is cable TV, DVD/Video. The doors open out onto the patio which has table and chairs, sun loungers, and there is also an outside WC.

Prices are inclusive of Sales Tax, Cleaning on departure and BBQ gas.

Further details outdoors:
The extended pool deck gives you plenty of room to enjoy the solar heated outdoor pool and electrically heated jacuzzi. There are pool towels for you and lilos are stored in the garage for you to use.

There are 4 sun loungers on the pool deck. There is a BBQ for your personal use to enjoy outside dining - table and chairs for 6.

Two adult bikes and helmets are located in the garage and available for your use. There are chairs and mats and a cooler for the beach.

Heating of Jacuzzi - $ 100 per week.

Security and breakage deposit required with final payment. Final payment to be made six weeks prior to departure.

Our local Management Company ensures that the property is presented in excellent order for your use, and they are available, 24/7, if you require any assistance.

Refundable breakages deposit of £200 required, this will be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is just the place for you and your family to enjoy one of Florida’s best kept secrets, the beaches and surrounding areas of South West Florida. Whether you have escaped the crowds in Orlando, or have decided to re-charge your batteries by relaxing or playing golf in the ‘Sunshine State’, our Villa will be the retreat to suit your needs.

The sub tropical climate means that the weather stays relatively mild all year.

Busch Gardens is the closest Theme Park (1.5 hours drive - north) and you can reach Everglade City (3.5 hours drive- south) to experience an air boat ride, meeting alligators and seeing the local bird life.

The Rotonda West area

Located south of Sarasota and north of Fort Myers, Rotonda is perfectly positioned to reach the beaches of Boca Grande (see the famous lighthouse and the old world town), Englewood, Mannasota Key, and Stump Pass, if you don’t want to stay at home. Most of these beaches have shower and toilet facilities and have outside BBQ areas.

You can also visit historic Punta Gorda (Fisherman’s Village), from where you can take a sunset cruise or a trip around the bay, and Arcadia where you can scour the antique shops. The towns of Sarasota, Venice and Naples are also within easy driving distance.

Port Charlotte (a 20 minute drive) provides great shopping with five big retailers – Dillards, J.C.Penny, Bealls, Macy's and Sears as well as a variety of other shops, and a cinema complex, are located at the Murdock Circle Mall. There is also a wide selection of restaurants in the Mall and along ‘the strip’.

If you wish to go further afield you can go shopping at Ellenton Outlet Mall (just outside Tampa), or visit either Miromar Outlet (10 minutes from Fort Myers Airport) and Coconut Point at Fort Myers. There is also a giant FleaMasters market in this area for you to wander around at your leisure and grab a bargain.

Closer to home, the Rotonda Community Park (32 acres) features two tennis courts, a multi-purpose sports field, a picnic pavilion, and a bike path, as well as rest room facilities.

There are a number of supermarkets located at the edge of Rotonda which will provide for all your self-catering needs. In addition, there is a WalMart store in Englewood which is easily reached from the Villa.

If you want a change from self-catering, there are cafes and restaurants all within easy distance.

Fly direct with British Airways to Tampa Airport from Gatwick and travel by car for approximately 1.5 hours to reach our Rotonda Villa.

Alternatively, take a direct flight on one of the American Airlines into Atlanta or Miami followed by an internal flight to Fort Myers (South West International Airport), and travel by car for approximately 1 hour to reach our Rotonda Villa.

Car hire is available at all airports although it is advised to book in advance.

Actual directions to the Villa will be provided on confirmation of booking.

I wanted to say that the villa was lovely. The pictures did not do it justice.
The kids had a great time - were in the pool almost everyday, and made good use of the bikes.

My wife, family and I have had the pleasure of staying in this villa twice over the past four years and have had a truly marvellous time on each occasion. The villa is very well appointed with all the amenities that you could possible want from a heated swimming pool and jacuzzi to wireless internet and everything in between. Rotonda itself is an attractive well kept and safe suburban development of similar residential properties that is in easy reach of good restaurants, shopping and beaches. We will be back again.

We are just completing our second stay at Elysium Retreat and hope to return. The villa is very well equipped and so comfortable. Owners are very accomodating and concerned with the best interests of their guests. Maintenance issues are dealt with quickly, although issues have been very few. It is well positioned for the local Rotonda golf courses. Bikes are a nice touch to use on local bike trails or streets in the area. Quiet neighbourhood makes it a lovely place to vacation.
