About the home

The interior of Devon Time has been designed and equipped to a very high standard to include main bedroom en -suite bathroom fitted with Jacuzzi and walk-in shower. All towels, additional bedding and hairdryers are provided. 3 flat screen TV''s, all having access to satellite TV, 2 DVD players, CD player, Play Station 3, and WiFi Internet access.There are CDs & DVDs for all the family, children's toys, books & games, pool toys, 4 mountain bikes & helmets, and a set of golf clubs for guests to use.

The property is air conditioned with the added benefit of ceiling fans in all rooms. There is a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, microwave, and a fully equipped kitchen,with plenty of dishes and accesories for fine dining, and accessories for the large gas BBQ for a perfect family meal inside or out

Devon Time is a modern, contemporary style home, with cool colour schemes, and designer finishing touches you would find in a 5 star holiday home, including pool towels, fluffy dressing gowns, sun loungers & patio table & chairs etc. for all guests to enjoy and ensure relaxation is guaranteed.

We are constantly looking to update and improve the villa to make our guests as comfortable as possible, therefore from 2008 there will be a full home security system installed for peace of mind while you are away from the villa can be guaranteed. And from 2009, additional pool heating to add to the already highly effective solar heating for the pool.

Devon Time is ideally situated to take full advantage of the peace and tranquility afforded to this area of Rotonda, but is within easy access of golf, tennis, water sports ( including fishing, kayaking, jet ski's, etc.) cycling, boating, shopping malls, cinema, with excellent restaurants and lots of local facilities including a large supermarket, takeaways, and small shops less than 10 minutes drive away.
Devon Time is ideal for children as there is a full pool safety guard which can be left in place if required, and play in the cul de sac outside is safe from traffic for ball games or cycling.
The spa and pool have underwater lighting so swimming or relaxing in the spa in the evening is a must for all, and there is a large gas BBQ for those nights in cooking for the family.
There is a double garage with electically controlled doors to save getting out of the car especially in the heat. The Villa also benefits from plenty of outside front lighting, with a combination of electric and solar lighting in the grounds giving the evening approach to the villa a welcoming feature..

Devon Time villa has been furnished to the highest standard and equipped above and beyond a normal holiday home, with the additional feature of the over- sized pool, (30ft long) with water feature, additional pool deck area, heated pool Spa seating up to 6 people, large gas BBQ.

A 20% deposit is required to reserve the booking with balance being due 8 weeks prior to your stay.
A returnable £300 security deposit is also required payable with the outstanding balance.
Outside Spa and Pool heating is available for an additional £50 per week.

The Florida / Florida Gulf Coast region

There are many beautiful beaches all within a 5- 15 minutes drive to choose from. There are lots of shops, restaurants, local amenities and several large shopping Malls within 10- 20 minutes drive. Within approx 15 drive up to 10 excellent Golf Clubs all within the Rotonda/Lemon Bay area which can cater for every level, the nearest which can be reached within 5 minutes drive to the property. ( the rear of the villa overlooks the golf course)

Local places of interest to visit include Tampa, Sarasota, with museums and excellent cultural amenities, whilst Busch Gardens theme park for excellent fun for all the family is only 90 minutes away, Disney Orlando is 2.5 hours away and easily accessible to do any of the parks in a day trip.

Miami is approx 3.5 hours drive across the Alligator Trail ( Count the Alligators at the roadside, we totalled 256 on one trip!) or Tamiami Trail to this glitzy city. Boats also regulalrly leave Fort Myers for the Florida Keys daily for a 3.5 hour trip each way.

The Charlotte County region also boasts State Parks, Nature Reserves where you can see bobcats and other local anmals and exotic plants. Sailing and fishing boat hire, kayaking and jet ski hire are all within easy access.

Thomas Edison & Henry Ford's historical winter estate is 45 minutes drive away for a facinating day out, and the Bobcat Adventure Park is only 15 minutes drive away where wildlife featuring the Bobcat can be seen.

The Rotonda West / Pine Valley area

There are lots of deserted beaches, nature reserves, and walking trails all local to Rotonda.
Rotonda Community Park is only a few minutes walk away, and features a wonderful cycle path meandering through the 32 acre reserve together with a picnic pavillion, tennis courts, and a multi-purpose games area.

Gulf Coast beaches stretch for miles and never seem to be crowded at any time of the day, and are safe for bathing & surfing for both adults and children, many have BBQ facilities on the beach.

A short drive away over the toll bridge is Boca Grande & Gasparilla Island with its beautiful sandy beaches covered with shells and fossilised sharks teeth which are easily found in the sand washed up on the shore. The Islands are often frequented by the rich and famous, and you can spend hours in the sleepy , laid back and very welcoming town centre cafes of Boca Grande admiring the multi-million dollar properties and people watching.

Other local interesting places to visit are Sanibell & Captiva Islands which are only a short drive away. Develop the Sanibel Stoop as loonking for shells on the beach becomes addictive!

The Port Charlotte Shopping Mall is within 15 minutes drive and boasts a Multiplex Cinema, restaurants, and large department stores.

Another highlight to tempt you is the Miramar Designer Factory Outlet a 90 minutes drive of the property.

The Everglades are within easy reach, and an airboart ride and some alligator spotting is a must for any visitors to the area.

You can fly easily with many direct and frequent flights to Orlando International Airport then drive to Rotonda. This will take about 2 hours 30 minutes.

You can also fly direct to Tampa bringing the journey time down to about 1 hour 15 minutes.

The next nearest airport is South West Florida International Arport near Fort Myers which is about 30 minutes drive from the villa which has regular USA internal flights arriving from several destinations.

Several airlines will do cheaper flights using in-direct flight options.
