About the home

Huckleberry House is a canal front villa sleeping 10 with private heated pool and private dock to canal. Peaceful location ,10 minutes drive to the beach.

The 4 bedroom villa built in 2006 and completely refurbished in the summer of 2011 has its own private pool with views onto the canal and has its own boat dock and sleeps up to 10. It comprises of a large family room, kitchen and dining area, 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an office utility room and double garage. It is fully air conditioned and has been furnished by professional designers. Wifi internet access is also available.

The house includes lots of added extras to make your stay memorable with golf clubs, 4 bikes gas barbecue and beach chairs.

All bedlinen bath and beach towels provided as well as beach bags. Full professional clean carried out before and after every rental

The house is fully air conditioned and pool is heated and the pool has a removeable baby barrier.

The outside area/lanai has a dining table with 6 chairs 4 sun loungers and gas bbq. A private heated pool with baby barrier. There is also a private dock on the canal front .

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is only 10 minutes away. The beaches, whether quiet and secluded or bustling with activity are ranked amongst the best in the country for beauty, accessibility and facilities. The fabulous white beaches stretch for miles along the Gulf of Mexico. Also there is an opportunity to see plenty of wildlife from dolphins, shore birds and sea turtles. This is also a paradise for shell collectors.

Golf:
Rotonda West has 6 courses with 99 holes that challenge all skill levels: The Hills, The Palms, The Links, Long Marsh, Pinemoor East, and Pinemoor West. All are are owned and operated by Rotonda Golf & Country Club

Fishing
There are lots of options for fishing we recommend Captain Jacks which is only 10 minutes away from home.

Rotonda (sometimes spelled as Rotunda), a residentially developed wildlife sanctuary of approximately 20,000 acres. The residential developments, including Rotonda West, wind through golf courses and the freshwater canals dredged to form the land. A quiet community, its thirty-five hundred or so mainly retired residents fish, play golf and enjoy its natural settings and serenity.

Down to Villas

Rotonda is located 1 1/2 hours south of Tampa, between Sarasota and Fort Myers. The crystal clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico and Boca Grande, where the rich and famous vacation, are a short 15 minute drive away.

There are six golf courses located in Rotonda, four operated by Rotonda Golf and Country Club and two by Pinemoor Gulf Club. Whether an avid golfer or not, the perfect course is right at your doorstep.

Clubs are available for hire at the golf courses if you do not bring your own. Just outside of Rotonda are many other courses to enjoy.


If you love nature, many exotic and beautiful birds live in the Rotonda West area which has been designated a bird sanctuary. You may also see other wildlife in the area, alligators, armadillos, wild pig, raccoons, and once in a while a bobcat has been seen running across the streets.

Rotonda is an ideal location to tour the Southwest Florida cities of Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Venice and Sarasota by car. Getting to points south requires driving north, east and then south to avoid Charlotte Harbour. There you'll find Sanibel and Captiva, Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. However, one can investigate all these areas and Pine island including Matlacha, Bokeelia and St. James City as well as the "bridgeless" islands of North Captiva, Useppa, Don Pedro, Palm Island and Little Gasparilla much more quickly and easily by boat!

Whether you are a sunworshiper or not, the beaches of Southwest Florida must be seen, crystal clear waters, bright sunny days and many activities available such as deep sea fishing charters, boat rentals, day cruises and jet ski rentals. On Gasparilla Island you can rent a boat, jet ski, bikes or golf carts to see the island. There are many restaurants to sample some of Florida's finest seafood.
