The Heart of England / Peak District / Herefordshire region
Visiting Herefordshire is like stepping back in time to a less hurried world where traditional values persist. A beautiful part of the world where farming remains the main occupation - the centre of the cider industry, a major fruit growing region with a growing number of vineyards. Small towns and villages with classic timber framed buildings abound and the River Wye snakes gracefully through the countryside.
The Ross on Wye / Sellack area
Ross-on-Wye is situated in the heart of the Wye valley and is a centre for all kinds of outdoor and country pursuits - walking, riding, cycling, canoeing etc. Hereford with its cathedral and mapa mundi are close by, Hay-on-Wye, the mecca for book lovers, is an easy drive away. Symonds Yat, the romantic ruins of Tintern Abbey and the Forest of Dean are all conveniently at hand.

Getting to Caradoc Court from the western end of the M50 is easy. Join the A40 heading for Monmouth and at the second roundabout turn right onto the A49 for Hereford. Then take the second turning on the right after just a few hundred yards signposted for Sellack and Hoarwithy. Follow this for some 2 miles until you pass the Loughpool Inn on the left hand side. The entrance to the drive is some 50 yards past this on the right. (If using a sat nav do not continue up the hill!)
