Paddocks Magical Rural Retreat
Farmhouse | 10 bedrooms | sleeps 20
A magical 17th century estate situated in its own very private 60 acre valley, offering perfect peace, stunning views and a real away from it all experience. You can hear the silence.
Paddocks operates as a holiday destination, unique corporate conference and meeting venue and working farm.
All the accommodation benefits from valley and woodland views, original features, high specification furnishing and full access to the venues facilities.
The focus at Paddocks is on a real chill with the chance to get close to nature and where time stands still.
Lounge poolside, in the hot tub, or by wood burning fires. Sip sun downers in the African thatch viewing Reindeer, Wallaby and Zebra grazing. Enjoy star gazing with minimal light pollution and walk through woodlands and valleys.
Get active on the farm with our 19 different species from Alpaca to Zebra. Walk with Reindeer, bottle feed orphans, groom the miniature horses, play with kid goats, collect emu eggs and do the feed rounds.
Exclusive whole venue bookings.
Paddocks is available for hire on an exclusive whole venue basis for a minimum of two night stays. Paddocks provides a superb landscape for family and friend gatherings and celebrations. The exclusive booking package includes; 1) nine independent accommodations, offering a total of ten double en-suite bedrooms 2) the Coach House, a large two storey communal area, for dining and socializing and 3) a range of venue facilities. The Coach house boasts triple aspect sunny rooms with glorious rural views over woodlands and valleys. This communal area includes two wood burning stoves, dining for up to 24 guests and plenty of squashy leather sofas and tub chairs. A large screen for movies, tea and coffee facilities, toilet and free WiFi simply makes this place a perfect space to chill. The sleeping accommodation includes 3 fully equipped self-catering cottages, 3 studio apartments and 3 Shepherd huts. Six of our nine independent accommodation units have been converted out of a large 17th century barn, so although guests have the benefit of privacy they remain in close proximity to family and friends. A perfect blend of privacy and community space.
Paddocks is also great for couples and families wanting a luxury and very unique rural retreat in a country cottage or Shepherd Hut. A favorite among honeymooners. Non-exclusive bookings are typically available mid-week, Tuesday to Thursday and weekends in low season.
Children are warmly welcomed with exclusive venue bookings. For non exclusive bookings the age limit is 16 years with babes in arms welcome. This policy ensures that guests looking for that rare peace and privacy can get it.
Food from plot to your plate
If you are into real fresh local produce with no additives then look no further. A rich range of rare breed meats are available direct from the farm. This includes the chef renowned Dexter beef which has been hung for 21 days for that melt in the mouth texture. We make our own sausages and burgers with high quality meat, great for barbecues. Enjoy a range of homemade jams and chutneys, including the rare Medlar jelly, straight from our Medlar trees. For eggs, try our fresh chicken, goose, duck, quail and emu eggs. For in season vegetables enjoy a range that includes, rainbow carrots, beetroot, courgette, peppers, cucumbers, beans and herbs picked daily for a real taste sensation.
Extra treats can be booked to include full farmhouse breakfast, cream teas, luxury hamper, chilled champagne and flowers.
Our maximum quoted number is 20, we can however place a couple of additional single beds into some of the accommodation if a group size is just over 20 so do ask.
