House | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 6
First floor independent apartment in a small villa of 4 apartments.
The house has got a large garden with very old and tall trees, where you can park two cars.
The house is really very close to the sea - less than 100 metres from the sea- just along a narrow street which ends in a pedestrian path (in Italian this is called the "Lungomare").
There are restaurants very close to the apartment along the Lungomare and a nearby supermarket for shopping if you want to eat in.
The house is really comfortable, with a nice furniture: you can plan short or long stays here in every season.
It's good for a family, but you can also share the house with a couple of good friends (or with your nice mother in law!)

The Tuscany region
TUSCANY...what else? I think I mustn't add anything else...
What region in Italy is better than it? I am not Tuscan, so you can trust on me: the answer is NONE!
Castiglioncello is a small village of the Rosignano Marittimo's Municipality, 20 km from Livorno (SOUTH). Castiglioncello stands on a promontory reaching out into the Tyrrhenian Sea, surrounded by pinewoods and hills that fall right down to the sea forming cliffs, little inlets, coves and sandy beaches. Pines, oaks and rocky cliffs make this region a unique one. The weather is very mild all year round, so you can enjoy your holiday even if you decide to stay here for Christmas!
The Romans and Etruscans loved the beauty of this area very much, as well as the Medici family during the Renaissance.
In more recent times important Italian people have built their residences here (including Luigi Pirandello, Marcello Mastroianni, Luchino Visconti and Vittorio Gassman). The painters of an artistic movement of the 19th century, called "Macchiaioli", also chose this village as an inspirational source for their work because of its beauty. The most important of them is Giovanni Fattori.
So if you like to mix some culture and sightseeing with your days at the beach, this is a very good location for outings to artistic towns, villages and beautiful countryside including the Val d'Orcia and the area known as 'Chianti-shire' with opportunities to enjoy some wonderful wines.
You can drive or use the public transport to get to Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, Pienza, San Gimignano, Siena, and the Maremma.
You could even go to Florence by train for a day trip.

"Great location, close to beach, good space, homely... a bit old fashioned but very comfortable."
This is a comfortable, homely, somewhat old-fashioned apartment, but the location is so good. A few steps from a small beach, a lungomare, supermarket within walking distance. Less than an hour from Pisa airport. Lots of really great day trips within reach... Volterra, Pisa, Livorno... Seafood restaurants on beach, a couple of minutes away or more if you walk a bit. Parking at the apartment itself. Proprietor really easy to deal with.
