Casa del Arte (the house of Art) 1 bedroom apartment. Sleeps up to 4 people and located between the seaside town of Roses (2kms) and the natural and rugged hills of the Costa Brava overlooking the stunning Bay of Canyelles.

Casa del Arte commands fantastic views over the ocean and the beach. Newly refurbished by a French interior designer in 2008 using the art theme. Located in a small development of just 12 units with a shared swimming pool, it is close to the beach and the local facilities (restaurants, shops, beaches, and marinas etc) and the town of Roses.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region

One of the most beautiful and natural coastlines of Spain. This area of Catalonia has retained its authenticity and charm. There are several small Mediterranean villages along the coast to visit: Colliure, Port de la Selva, and Cadaques- at 16kms where Dalí’ lived. At Figueras you will find the Dali Museum.

Near to fishing towns like l’Escala, tourist resort of Empuriabrava, Llançà. You are 160kms from Barcelona capital of Catelonia and one of the most happening cities in Spain , home to Gaudi's works of art .Natural areas protected: Cap Creus (sea), L'Albera (mountain), Els Aiguamolls ( important bird area), La Garrotxa (volcanic area) perfect to walk and hiking.

1 hour from Pirineus Mountains. Medieval villages: Peralada with a greatest musical festival, romantic Besalu, volcanic Santa Pau, Pals, La Bisbal with ceramic industry and the Jewish city of Girona. Sports: parachutes, sea activities: sealing, snorkelling, diving, golf courses, winter and adventure sports in Pirineus mountains.

The Roses area

Besides a wealth of watersports, you can also enjoy many other sports offered at local clubs and the town's municipal sports centre in Carretera Mas Oliva. The centre caters for enthusiasts of volleyball, football, basketball, handball, badminton, skating and table tennis.

There are tennis and squash clubs in the resort, several diving centres and a windsurfing and sailing school. Golf among the many other leisure pursuits to be enjoyed in the unlikely event of you tiring of the all the beach front activity.

For history buffs, Roses and the surrounding area have a wealth of ancient buildings, archaeological sites and historic monuments.

«What a location! Charming apartment, modern, comfortable, pleasant surrounding + pool.
My husband and I have been renting apartments around Europe for a while and this is one apartment where everything comes around nicely. The view is outstanding: the beaches, the Mediterranean and the mountains. Lots of things to do and visit in the region if you want to walk or visit museums.
