About the home

Very spacious and modern apt, great base to see Dali's homes, museum and Barcelona (1.5hrs away). Lots to see within 30 mins drive. Sky diving at Empuriabrava 1 mile away, beautiful water park 5 mins drive.

We now have WiFi in our apartment!

Beautiful swimming pool 10mins drive away 4 euros p day. 30 mins to France, 2 hrs to ski resorts. Boat hire locally, cycle hire, go carts for kids and adults 5 mins away. Sounds busy but calm and peaceful too.

Perfect for a city break too as Barcelona is only 1.5 hours away so lovely spacious accommodation all year round.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia/Barcelona region

This is Salvador Dali country and his museum is in Figueres, approx 20mins drive. One of his houses is about and hour away at Cadaques. There are many lovely beaches very close by eg. Canyelles, 10 mins drive.

Best restaurant in the world 20 mins away 'El Bulli' but book 6mths ahead! Figueres is great for shopping. Barcelona is 1.5hrs away to drive or you can get the train in Figueres.

The Roses / Sta. Margarita area

Beautiful local beach, more beaches 10 mins drive, a lovely waterpark 5 mins drive away close to go carts. It sounds commercialised but it really is not. Lots of local shops and restaurants, cycle hire, walks. Lovely streets with beautiful homes.

A really great area. Other towns and villages within easy reach. Canals everywhere so lots of beautiful boats. Empuriabrava 1 mile away another very popular boat place with miles of canals and a great beach, market here on Saturdays also small airport popular with skydivers who can be seen from our roof terrace. Roses festival is in February and you can drive to ski resorts in 2 hrs.

Fly to Gerona Airport - pick up hire car - we use 'Marius Rentacar' in Gerona. Ryanir and Thomson fly to Gerona and Easyjet plus others to Barcelona. It's a 50 min drive from Gerona and approx 2 hours from Barcelona. You can also fly to Perpignan in France which is approx 40 mins away.

From Gerona:
Exit the airport straight over a mini roundabout onto dual carriageway to main roundabout. Take the blue motorway sign for Gerona (you are currently south of Gerona).

Head North on motorway AP7, following signs for Llafranc, Perpignan, Franc etc. After about half an hour leave the motorway at Junction 4 signposted ROSES.

Follow A roads from here. You will use the N11 and then the C260.

You can use alloted car parking spaces if they are free. If not there is plenty of space on the road.

“Beautifull” A beautiful apartment in a nice and quiet part of Roses. A 100% recommendation for everyone who is looking for a temporarily stay. 15 min walk to beach, nearest Supermarket 5 min walk. The apartment was clean and cozy. The fridge was filled with water and other things. We felt at home. Everything worked; even a washing machine was available. The large terrace (with bbq) and swimming pool is a good place to enjoy your stay. And the view: on the left the Mediterranean and on the right the Pyrenees. Wow!

“absolutely fabulous penthouse apartment in fantastic area!” There were 6 of us staying at this wonderful apartment and we had a superb holiday.With 3 good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large lounge and kitchen there was space for everyone.The views from the terrace are to die for and with such comfy sunloungers and a very welcome pool,we spent a lot of time out there.Abundance of spare towels plus beach towels and bed linen and everything you required in the large kitchen.It is perfectly placed for all the local beaches,restuarants etc yet so quiet and peaceful in the penthouse. Cannot wait to go again next year! others way

“VUE SPLENDIDE !” Bel appartement moderne très bien décoré, fonctionnel avec 1 SDB 1 SDE , situé au dernier étage avec une terrasse tout autour, mer pas trop loin : 1/4H de marche. Nous étions enchantés d'être là au calme avec les oiseaux, l'impression de tout dominer. Personnel del'agence gestionnaire et la propriétaire Mandy sympas. seul point négatif ; l'odeur dans la salle d'eau en arrivant, problème mentionné et qui va être résolu et peut-être, certains peuvent être gênés par la luminosité le matin dans les chambres Mais cela n'altère en rien la super bonne impression générale Cet appartement figure désormais dans notre carnet d 'adresses
