Brand new 3 bedroomed penthouse apartment for rent in Roquetas. This apartment is situated in a central location on Avenida Mediterraneo with its array of shops, bars and restaurants. It is approx 5 minutes walk from the beach. The apartment is very well furnished with open plan lounge and kitchen. The kitchen is fully fitted including oven, hob, extractor, fridge and washing machine. There are two double bedrooms and single bedroom with pull out second bed. The bathroom has bath and shower. There is also a separate shower and WC. There are ceiling fans in all rooms and airconditioning/heating in the lounge and master bedroom. This property sleeps 6 people. It is situated on the sixth floor and is serviced by lifts. There is a communal pool for use. The apartment balcony has fantastic panoramic views from the very large terrace and large roof top solarium. This apartment also benefits from Sky tv.
This apartment is suitable for all types of holiday makers. The area is totally flat for those with difficulty walking, the beaches are wide and safe for children, couple will enjoy the relaxation offered in this resort along with great restaurants for a leisurely evening meal.

The Costa de Almeria region

Almeria is the warmest part of Europe and is the official desert of Europe. In fact in this area of Spain you could be mistaken for thinking you are in the Wild West with it´s mountainous sun baked terrain. Take a trip to Oasys where great Spaghetti Westerns like The Good The Bad and The Ugly were filmed.
Take a bus into Almeria City to visit the beaches, restaurants and beach tapas bars. There are vast amounts of shops here with two hypermarkets and Mediterranean Shopping Complex.
Almeria Port offers ferry trips to Morocco although this crossing takes approx 7 hours so an overnight trip or weekend trip is recommended.
Visit the Alcazabar (closed Mondays)
The huge fiesta brings Almeria to a close for a week in August (normally around 20th of the month). Huge circuses, fairgrounds, food outlets, nightclubs and endless entertainment abounds during this week.

Roquetas de Mar area

Roquetas de Mar is a very popular Spanish resort. There is golf at the nearby Gary Player designed, 27 hole, championship golf course of Playa Serena. There are also golf courses at La Envia and Almerimar which are both a short drive away.
The nature reserve at the Playa Serena area of the resorts with it´s salt marshes offers bird watching and long walks.
The marina of Roquetas has an old fort and amphitheatre where fiestas, markets and weddings are held.
There is a children's play/fairground park close to the beach.
All the beaches are life guard attended.

How to get there

Fly to Almeria Airport from London Gatwick, Stanstead, Luton, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds Bradford.
Airlines such as Easyjet, Ryanair, Monarch, Jet2 offer flights from these UK airports.
Airport transfers can be arranged to our apartment but should you require car hire carjet.com is a recommended supplier.

A walk along the promenade in one direction will take you to the larger urbanisation of Roquetas with many hotels, bars and restaurants. The other direction takes you to the beautiful marina with tapas bars and fish restaurants.
Opposite the apartment is a sports centre with tennis available. At the opposite end of the road is a large children's park with rides and trampolines.
The Gran Plaza shopping centre with its numerous shops, bars and restaurants, large hypermarket, bowling alley and cinema complex, Toys R Us, McDonalds, Burger King etc is a short drive away as is Mario Water Park (open high season only). A recent addition to the area is a roller skating rink and dance studio. The apartment is situated on the local bus route with access to the above shopping complex and also into Almeria where you can visit the bustling City and the Alcazabar.

Conditions

Smoking only allowed on the balcony.
Security deposit of 200 euros payable locally in case of breakages or damage and refundable within 2 weeks of departure.
30% deposit required when making reservation with balance payable on arrival. Should you wish to pay balance by credit/debit card this should be paid prior to your arrival in Spain.
Check in on day of arrival 1600 and check out on day of departure 12noon. Please enquire as to whether changes to these arrangements can be made.
