Newly refurbished apartment with a large roof terrace, secure parking, step-free lift access and a centralised air conditioning system serving all rooms.

The roof terrace has a table and chairs, perfect for breakfast in the morning sunshine, as well as two comfortable outdoor armchairs. There is a parasol to cover the whole terrace during the day and two lights for when you want to relax outside in the evening. The main terrace doors have a metal grill that can be locked if required to keep children safely inside the flat when supervision is not available.

The complex has a 25-metre swimming pool (open June to September) and borders the promenade and beach, considered by many locals as the best for swimming in Roquetas de Mar. The port and the town centre are a short walk from the apartment and have numerous bars, restaurants, shops and other facilities.

The reception room has a dining table with 6 chairs. There are two comfortable settees for relaxing in with a large flat-screen TV. A selection of DVD and Blu-ray films in several languages are available for entertainment in addition to numerous digital TV channels. Wi-fi internet is available.

All windows have external shutters that are perfect for lie-ins. The master bedroom has a double bed and a full en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has two single beds.

The fully fitted kitchen should cater for the needs of most chefs. Cooking essentials such as oil, salt and pepper are provided and a large supermarket is a short walk away. We also provide a fruit bowl on arrival from our local family-run organic fruit and vegetable shop.

The flat has a dedicated underground parking space. It is served by a lift from the garage and the ground floor with no steps, making it suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

The apartment complies with all safety regulations and includes a first aid kit, smoke alarm and fire extinguisher.

The Andalucia region

Almeria is a beautiful and varied province of Andalucia on the south coast of Spain.

It is the sunniest place in Europe and has the only desert in Europe, near Tavernas where many Westerns and other films were made. The warm, dry climate, with even winter temperatures reaching 15-20 C, is very popular for those escaping northern Europe winters and those with rheumatism and similar ailments.

The city of Almeria is famed for it's Alcazaba (Castle), wartime tunnels and Cabo de Gata national park.

The Sierra Nevada mountains rise up from the sea and have many traditional villages. There are skiing opportunities in winter. The city of Granada is only a 90-minute drive from the apartment and has the Alhambra, which some consider the most beautiful building in Europe.

Roquetas de Mar

The apartment has direct access to the promenade and beach. Romanilla beach is considered by many locals as the best for swimming in Roquetas de Mar. The fishing port and castle are 10 minutes walk along the promenade and have numerous bars and restaurants. The town centre is a 5 minute walk and has supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars and all of the other facilities of a regional centre, including a historic church and medical centres.

The aquarium and water park are a 5-minute drive away and a large shopping centre is also nearby. The promenade passes through the Salinas natural park towards Aguadulce, 5 km up the coast, where most nightclubs are located. Roquetas de Mar is famed for having 20 km of beaches and the promenade runs the length of these. An off-road bicycle path also runs adjacent to much of the promenade and cycling is a great way to see the local area.

South of Roquetas de Mar is a large natural park with many birds including flamingos during winter and spring. There is a golf course at Playa Serena, about 20 minutes drive from the apartment.
