"Beautiful house in lovely village"
I rented this holiday home with my husband and 2 children (aged 2 & 5). It is a beautifully appointed house in a stunning village. The house works really well for a group of friends or families as the living area is all open plan and it has french windows out onto the garden (which is all enclosed and very safe for children to play in). It also has a little balcony which looks out onto the street. The house is decorated beautifully (Laura Ashley , White Company etc) and the kitchen is very well equipped making self catering very easy. There is a nice seating area inside the house and a nice large dining table. There is a double bedroom on the same level as the living area and then 2 further bedrooms (1 double and 1 smaller room which we had single bed and cot in) upstairs. There are stair gates to ensure small children are totally safe - the owners clearly have small children beause they have thought of everything! There were plenty of towels and bed linens and the house itself was spotless. I had a bad experience the previous summer when the house I'd rented was so dirty I had to clean it from top to bottom...so I was extremley relieved to walk in to this house, it definitley exceeded expectations. The owners had also very thoughtfully arranged a little welcome hamper of some essentials..like butter, bread, milk, tea/coffee, juice , wine etc.
The garden is great it has a lovely seating area outside which really makes it. We spent most of our time when in the house outside. There is also a communal pool for the houses which our kids enjoyed especially.
As for the village of Roque Brune it's a very pretty little location, from the house you can easily walk into town within 5 minutes and pick up bread and and groceries (there is also a large Carre Four a short drive away). There are some nice restaurants, one literally at the bottom of the hill. It has a weekly market and there are plenty of places to stop and have a coffee or cold drink. I think if we took our parents (the grandparents) they'd be perfectly happy to walk into town and explore whilst the younger members of the family went swimming or went to the beach.
The village is stunning and there are plenty of places to visit for day trips, St Maxime, St Tropez, Canne, Grasse etc. It just depends on how much travelling you want to do. There are lots of pretty wineries to visit which are a short drive from Roque Brune.

"Excellent Quality Family Accommodation"
Beautifully furnished, spacious accommodation in the heart of Cote d'Azur. Within reasonable driving distance of all the sights and cities in the French Riviera. Roquebrune is a lovely little friendly French village with plenty of shopping options within a short drive. The accommodation features amazing views of the village and beyond, all the facilities one needs for a quality self catering holiday and is child friendly. Although we went during off peak in December, the weather was great and we had a fantastic time exploring.

"Quiet, Convenient, Convivial, Comfy & Complete!"
Convenient, it was really easy to find we drove down through the night to arrive at the village Boulangerie in the morning – Yummy! The village was convivial, and catered for all our needs, it wasn't too touristy which we found to our taste, there's all the favourites here from the Plat du jour through to a Pizza, and a large supermarket if you prefer, a short drive away, we also stocked up with local wine from the Cave in the village. The house is well decorated and feels very light and airy, we particularly liked opening up the lounge from the balcony to the front and the patio and garden at the back. Enjoying the warm evenings and to sit on the large comfy loungers with a glass of rose – what more could you ask?
The Beds were very comfortable and the location so quiet we enjoyed peaceful nights every night, the rooms were well proportioned, the open plan living area of well stocked kitchen, dinning area and ample sofas made what time we spent indoors relaxing.
During the day we explored or hit the beach in St Maxime a short easy drive away. With plenty of free parking, St Maxime itself has everything and with an evening market and the variety of restaurants we chose to spend a couple of evenings there. One day we took the ferry to St Tropez which was trouble free with calm waters, enjoyed the Village sights, lunch in the Harbour was less expensive than I imagined it would be, we ate in a restaurant which had a sandy floor, our daughter loved it and kids were welcomed. Another day was spent at Port Grimonde taking the car, again ample parking, and a lazy day.
Whilst here I took the opportunity to climb/walk to the top of 'Brown Rock' there is a path but caution is needed in parts but what a view! Absolutely breathtaking this is a real plus point the house is built on part of this rock, it's a real adventure to get up there.
Note for the wise; There is a vineyard left just after river as you head out the village back to the Autroroute, it's run by an American family sorry can't recall the name, set in an old church with Roman origins – drop in here it's a must, the wine we brought back was excellent and gave us found memories, our lovely holiday was complete!.

"Beautiful house with nice garden, close to charming village & easy access to all the Var & Cote d'Azur offers!"
We found the house furnished to a very high standard with plenty of brand new appliances & kitchen utensils, exceeding our expectations for the price paid.
Roquebrune is a charming french village with medieval church & local markets. The walk down to town is quite a challenge as the hill is steep however made the cheese & bread more enjoyable not to mention the Rose!! We especially liked what the local area had to offer in terms of vineyards, lakes, scenery & the beaches of course - plenty to choose from within sensible driving distance. Ste Maxime is a particular favourite along with St Tropez which we visited via the small ferry from Les Issambres - best way to get there. Lots more to see so looking forward to going back again!
