A classic townhouse with a spectacular roof top terrace with a view of the village, river and the valley. The house is kept in an old French style and has lots of charm. There is a nice big dinning room and a good kitchen with a window overlooking the river. A bathroom with showers on each floor. Downstairs has a master bedroom with a king size bed and a children's bedroom with a bunk bed. Upstairs has a mezzanine room with a double bed and two single beds which can also be used as a sitting area for watching TV. The roof top terrace has a complete view of the valley and there is a BBQ and table and chairs. There are several little outside seating areas.

The house is perfect for two families (2 x 2 adults and 2 kids) with each floor separated - you have to use the outside stairs to get from one floor to another - this gives a bit of peace and quiet, but still staying together. But it can of course also be used by singles, couples or a family.

The Languedoc-Roussillon region

Languedoc-Roussilion is the less spoiled and less tourist ridden cousin of Provence. It has a lot of charm and authenticity and is influenced by the Mediterranean Sea and Spain. The area is known for its nice climate, unspoiled nature, nice little villages and breath taking scenery, making it an ideal holiday destination for families and experienced travellers alike.

Roquebrun

Situated on the banks of the river Orb the village of Roquebrun is also called le Petit Nice. With its lush gardens on the river bank, its classic old house and little restaurants and bars the village is a unspoiled gem. The river bank is a great place for swimming and the are lots of activities such as kayaking, canoeing, paddle boats and more in the village. Surrounded by a nature park there are lot of great walks and drives to nearby gorges, villages or lakes.

"House and village is the absolute dream of South of France"

We (family of 4 (2 boys 5 years)) stayed one week in Roquebruin Panoramic in july 2014.

We knew the village Roquebrun from a vacation a couple of years ago where we were dazzled by this medieval village with its huge romain brigde and laid back atmosphere. Therefore we decided to come back and stay there.

House:
The house is on top of the village with a spectacular view from the huge rooftop terrace over the river, village and wine fields. It is the place where we spent our evenings with lots of rosé and some homemade cooking.
The house is charming with its different levels, connected by the stairs that go through a little garden. Also important to us was that you had the interior with all the modern luxury such as shower, kitchen, dishwasher and washingmachine combined with furniture and decoration that fits to a house of that age.

Village:
Roquebrun is wonderful :-) 3-4 small restaurants, 2 small but very well equipped cafes(with kiosk function) and a bakery.
The beach on the riverside is nice and clean and with a huge area with shallow water for the kids. Remember to buy sandals or shoes that can go into the water because the rocks can be hard at times.

Area:
We didn't get out much this year but the area is filled with all kind of great locations! One thing we went to and that I truly recommend is the Gorges d'Heric in the mountains nearby (30min. drive).

We all loved this place!

This is our third visit to Roquebrun and we will come back!

"Perfect getaway"

We enjoyed a week in this newly totally refurbished house - a fantastic vacation! It was the perfect romantic getaway, we spent most of our time on the beatiful terrace looking down on the river and in the kitchen taking in the morning light. We spent far to little time in the cosy dining room and lounge, but the terrace was worth it (-: Everything was clean, new and easy and there was loads of space (and two bathrooms!).

Roquebruun is a nice town with decent dining and fun riverkajaking. The river is great for swimming and the nearby watermill has been turned into an arts and craft shop. Had we had a few more days, we would've explored the surroundings more and tried the mountainbike downhill ride.

We vowed to come back with our children, they would get a kick out of the house and love the river acticities.

We can definitely recommend this place!
