For those looking for a holiday venue amid the majestic scenery of inland southern Spain, this is the perfect starting point from which to explore the historic towns of Ronda, Seville, Cordoba and the charming "pueblos blancos" of Andalucia. Set in the peace and quiet of the countryside with wonderful views towards Ronda, it is only a short drive to take in the magnificent architecture and sights of the medieval town and to explore the bars, restaurants and shops. It is equally suited to a family holiday as it is to a sophisticated birthday or anniversary celebration, a small wedding or a Christmas or New Year get-together. The property is spread between the main farmhouse and its adjacent ancilliary buildings. The six large bedrooms can be made up with double beds or, in the case of three of them, with twin beds. One bedroom additionally has an open plan living room with a sofa bed, and the master bedroom has an ante room adjoining which has a day bed. Both of these can accommodate small children. There are also two travel cots (bedding for these is not provided) and two high chairs available. The house has many practical facilities including a large bespoke and fully equipped kitchen for the most discerning cooks with several fridges, two dishwashers and an ice machine, plus a secondary well equipped kitchen situated in the lower house. There is a separate laundry room with two washing machines and driers. Bed linen and towels, including pool towels, are included. Penhaligon's goodies in every bathroom and a hamper of essentials are provided on arrival. There are fans in every bedroom and three of them are also air conditioned. For winter lets there is double glazing, underfloor and central heating and open fires. Guests are welcome to have seasonal fruit and vegetables from our organic garden which our gardener, Miguel, will happily pick. There is a small bodega at the house stocked with interesting wines from the surrounding regions and guests are welcome to purchase their requirements..

There are many terraces at the property and a number of them directly adjoin bedrooms. Two large, covered dining terraces are equipped for leisurely meals accommodating twelve guests on each. One has the added benefit of a large charcoal BBQ, fridge and marble sink. A terrace adjacent to the first floor drawing room is a perfect venue for a sundowner cocktail. In addition to two mountain bicycles there are four tennis racquets and two sets of golf clubs available for guests to borrow. Our nearest tennis court is some ten minutes drive and there are many golf courses about 45 minutes drive. There is plenty of space for active children to enjoy, along with outdoor table tennis and badminton equipment.

In addition to a large 13 metre infinity pool surrounded by terracing, equipped with plenty of pool furniture and gazebos, and with wonderful views across the valley, there is also a second, solar heated, smaller 8 metre pool to satisfy less energetic swimmers. Tucked away to the rear of the property and with sun loungers alongside it provides a perfect spot for quiet relaxation. Both swimming pools are fenced. There is a welcome hamper provided on arrival which contains the basics to get you started. We have a well stocked first aid box to take care of minor mishaps and the house is equipped with fire alarms, extinguishers and emergency lighting. Our English speaking staff are resident nearby and available to assist with any queries. They can also usually arrange meals with advance notice, extra maid service and babysitting. Seasonal fruit and vegetables are grown in our large organic garden and interesting Spanish wines from the region are available to purchase from the small bodega.
Conditions
We require a 25% deposit to confirm your booking with the balance due no later than 8 weeks before the holiday date. A £500/€500 security deposit is required against damages and will be refunded within two weeks of your departure. Catering can usually be arranged if required as well as additional cleaning services. We are happy to consider reservations of less than a week, or smaller numbers, during the low seasons. Please enquire for details.

The Andalucia / Malaga Province region


The scenery of inland Andalusia is majestic with the ever changing colours of the landscape through the seasons. Hot summer months bathe the countryside in a golden glow turning with the late autumn and early spring rains into a green and verdant landscape scattered with wild flowers. The comfortable winter temperatures make it the best time of year to explore the area on foot or bicycle. The surrounding roads provide good and easy access to the many places of interest including the ancient roman ruins of Ronda La Vieja , the painted Paleolithic Piletta caves, and the bustling medieval town of Ronda itself with its famous bullring. The charming "white villages" of Andalusia are all within an easy drive as is the national park at Grazalema. A pleasant train journey from Ronda gives access to the wonders of Granada for an interesting day trip.
The Ronda / Arriate area
Southern Spain is the land of fiestas and at any time of the year you can almost guarantee to find one not far away celebrating a religious event or a famous forefather. There is an abundance of historic sites, buildings and galleries to explore and for the sports enthusiast paragliding, kayaking, tennis, golf, cycling and even a spin on the Ascari racetrack are all within easy reach. Ballooning over the local area can be arranged and is a wonderful way to view the wonders of Ronda as it sits astride the towering gorge. Seville, Granada, Cordoba and Jerez are all within reach for day trips. Even a visit to Tangier for some Eastern excitement is a possibility.

Finca La Morera is easily reached from the ariports of Malaga, Seville or Jerez (all approx 1 1/2 hours drive) and Gibraltar which is about 2 hours drive. From the UK several airlines fly to these destinations including, Iberia, British Airways, Easy Jet, Click Air, Ryan Air, Flybe and most regional airports serve at least one of these destinations. From the USA, and Europe several international airlines fly into Malaga or Seville. Payment of the rental due is by direct bank transfer, in euros. We require a 25% deposit to confirm the reservation with the balance due no later than 8 weeks prior to the holiday date. During the Low season we are happy to consider rentals of less than a week (minimum three nights) and for smaller numbers who would occupy only part of the property. The rental rate for this period is FROM Euros 1750 for a long weekend for up to 12 people, or a week for up to six people. For 6 - 12 people the weekly rate is €2250. We are also happy to consider longer term rentals during the low season. Please contact us for details of availability and rental rates.
