Casita Ettal is a comfortable holiday cottage which has been renovated and equipped to a very high standard. It comprises two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a single, a bathroom, fully fitted kitchen/dining room and a conservatory style sitting room. There is the added luxury of air conditioning and cental heating. High ceilings, pine beams and shuttered windows add to the care taken to ensure that the property is in keeping with the Andalucian style whilst also providing very comfortable accommodation.

The area has still not attracted massive tourist attention and therefore is still truly Spanish which is a delight.There are shops,bars and restaurants (Ventas) close by where excellent food can be obtained at very reasonable prices. The area is renowned for its flora and fauna. Enjoy breathtaking views when walking the beautiful countryside or by simply touring around by car.
The wild bird life is a bird watchers paradise with frequent sightings of vultures and eagles. Dating back to the Roman occupation of Spain, Ronda is famous for its spectacular gorge, its historical monuments and the oldest bullring in Spain.reflecting the influence of its Phoenician,Muslim and Christian conquerors.
The town is a prime example of the whitewashed Andalucian architecture, picturesque balconies and gardens.It is situated high above the surrounding plains and views of the impressive Sierra de Grazalema and Sierra de las Nieves, offer a perfect contrast to the fertile fields below them. This is a very beautiful destination and the ideal place to enjoy more sophisticated Andalucian gastronomy, shop in elegant boutiques or admire the beautiful ceramics.
Ronda / Montecorto Ronda area
Casita Ettal is 3 minutes walk from the centre of the village of Montecorto, where shops, bars and restaurants can be found. There are several buses servicing Montecorto, including buses to Ronda, Malaga, Jerez and Seville. Casita Ettal is 20km from the beautiful town of Ronda. Some would say that Ronda is best seen at sunset when the Andalucian heat lifts from the town and the surrounding sierra turns from bleached lemon to yellow ochre. The town comes alive with restaurants, bars and cafes buzzing.
This wonderful town with its Moorish architecture, old palaces and cool gardens make for a very beautiful destination - the ideal place to enjoy more sophisticated Andalucian gastronomy, shop in elegant boutiques, admire the lovely ceramics and be amazed by the famous gorge – El Tajo.
The dramatic mountains and the villages of Grazalema, El Gastor, Setenil and Zahara de la Sierra (and many more) are situated in some of the most stunning settings of Andalucia. The cities of Granada, Seville, Cadiz and Gibraltar, together with the Mediterranean coast, are all in easy reach for a day trip. Enjoy breathtaking views of the beautiful countryside by driving, walking or horse riding.
The Spanish love Fiestas and celebrations. All summer long there are parties and each village, town and city has it’s own Feria. The celebrations usually start in the evening and continue throughout the night. The Feria of Ronda takes place around the first weekend of September and is known as the Goyesca and takes its name from Goya. There are many street parades with many people dressed in the traditional Goyescan costumes.
The Corrida (bullfights) is the centrepiece to this famous Andalucian Feria and takes place in the oldest bullring in Spain. It is impossible not to enjoy yourself when amongst this weeklong festival of celebration.

Further details indoors: The property has been fully renovated and is equipped to a very high standard. The property provides light, airy and comfortable accommodation for two. The fully fitted eating kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven, hob and microwave. In the sitting room there is a TV together with a video and DVD player and the bathroom has a lovely view over the mountains!
Further details outdoors: Casita Ettal is located in the large grounds of the owners' home. However, the Casita has its own private patio and private garden which is not over-looked. A large swimming pool (10mx5m), which is located in the adjacent (owners') property can be used by guests between 9 and 10 in the morning and between 5 and 6 in the afternoon. There is also a large public swimming pool in the village.
