Home description
Refurbished in rustic style, a romantic hideaway set in natural parkland. Situated on the Camino Real, step outside and back in time as you walk this fantastic route. Sheep and goats stop to look at the visitors as eagles and vultures soar overhead. Flowers in abundance all year, from winter dwarf irises to wild thyme and poppies, mountain oaks and wild olive trees, it is a naturalists dream. Wild deer, boar , mongoose and badger, this whole area is rich in wildlife. Or simply enjoy the al fresco lifestyle and stay home and make use of the modern kitchen or BBQ.
When you don't feel like cooking, wander down to the local bar and restaurant 2 mins from your door and let them serve you with local dishes and wines, have a chat, and drink in the rural ambience. Should you require something more upbeat, go into Ronda for all the modern amenities, as well as a wealth of history and sights.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The well-known Costa del Sol is already a hit with overseas visitors, but there are still parts of this region that are relatively unknown to most of them. Travel inland, away from the beautiful coast to discover a world that has changed very little from the 1950's. The Serrania, Sierra Nieves Biosphere and Montes de Malaga are one of the most beautiful areas in the world, and still relatively untouched by the 21st century.
The resorts of San Pedro and Marbella are easily reached on the spectacular but heartstopping San Pedro mountain road, few visitors travel the equally magnificent Algeciras Road from Ronda, down to Sabinillas and Puerto Duquessa through the white villages of Benadalid and Gaucin. Even fewer bother to take the route over the mountains covered in the rare pine trees (Pinasabo) down into Estepona.
The milder climate on the coast is a bonus for Winter/Spring holidays and although in the mountains it can even be chilly in the early mornings and evenings, the fresh air of the cooler mountain regions is wonderful during those hot summer months. In winter, snow is often on the peaks of the surrounding mountains, but sunrise and sunset are a truly magnificent sight when the peaks turn orange, rose and then lavender against the bright blue of an Andalucian sky.
Access to Malaga, Cordoba, Granada, Jerez, Seville and Cadiz (including the wonderful Donana) are all worth a visit, as well as just meandering through the area and stopping at any of the famous white villages.
Ronda / Grazelema Natural Park area
Ronda for shopping, gifts and sightseeing from the Gorge, Concerts and the Ronda Festival in September Grazelema, the capital of this Mountain region in Cadiz Province, a smaller version of Pamplona running with the bulls during the summer. Ubrique, the leather capital in the mountains Benoajan and Montejaque some of the white villages nestled in the shadow of some of the highest peaks here Genal Valley and the famous chestnut slopes, a mini New England in Autumn Sierra Nieves, Biosphere. An area where the Ibex and wild chamoix type goat still can be found Zahara, perched on a mount. Take a wild scenic ride that parallels any mountain switchback, to the Puerto Palomas, approx 1900 meters above sea level. Montecorto Lake , shining bright turquoise below Jerez Motorcyle Races are held most weekends in summer Spanish cycling races around the mountains are also a regular sight.
