Our farmhouse has been renovated and refurbished throughout. It offers comfortable, 21st Century accommodation, whilst retaining its rustic caracter throughout.

The L-shaped house offers spacious, pretty and comfortable accommodation of a good standard. It has a wide stone terrace at the front with seating and another outside dining area at the rear. You might prefer one of the other spots to take your afternoon teas or for al-fresco meals.

Entering the main door into a study-reading room furnished with pots, old farm implements and period furnishings offers a cheerful welcome, with sofa and library. This leads through to a huge, double-height living/dining room with the kitchen area at one end separated by a bar top.

It's a serene and remarkably cool space under its vast, high-beamed ceiling. As with the whole house, it is double glazed and the original thick stone walls are what really contribute to such good insulation, keeping it cool in summer and warmer in winter.

There is a large glass-fronted woodburner, a dining table and sofa. A television (satalite with international channels), a DVD player and internet is available throughout the ground for.

The house has many attractive artefacts collected from around Spain. From all windows there are views of the mountains and olive trees. Despite the house´s modern amenities it does not detract from the numerous eye-catching little details from rural Spain's traditional past that will enchant you.

The kitchen is smart, modern and spacious. It's well equipped with electric oven, 3-ring induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.

There are two bedrooms (one of which is large) and a bathroom with a walk-in shower on the ground floor, accessed by a hall leading from the entrance reading room. Both bedrooms have double beds. (Electric heating).

The other three bedrooms are on the first floor. The attractive master room has a large bed and offers a view of the swimming pool and beyond. It also has a window looking over the living room. The upstairs bathroom also has a walk-in shower and is shared all rooms. The landing leads on to a small single room (suitable for a child) and a twin room at its end. Both of these rooms are under the sloping eaves.

On leaving the house from the kitchen a stone path leads up to the pretty pool (6m x 4m) and takes centre stage amid the glorious natural setting and the tranquility of the countryside. Here you will hear the birds singing, the breeze in the highest branches and very little more. The views are fabulous and open across the valley. A sun terrace wraps around the pool and there is a grassy area beyond. The pool area receives sun from early morning to evening. There are sunbeds, a pool shower and seating areas under the olives trees. At night it's an even more magical place when the lights around the pool are switched on and the heavens are filled with stars.

The rocky and very rugged terrain in this part of Andalusia is both spectacular and beautiful. You really will feel part of something very different from your normal life. If you are looking for a real escape, but wish to access amenities then this house will be perfect. In Grazalema you will find restaurants, bars, shops, banks, and health facilities. It is a wonderful and very pretty village in a spectacular setting, surrounded by the craggy limestone peaks of the Sierra de Grazalema. It is one of the prettiest of the ´White Villages´.

The town of Ronda is only 30kms away. Hemingway's favourite place in Spain and home to Orson Wells. A classic example of a fortified Moorish city and boasts a wealth of sites to visit; the old defensive wall, Arab baths, mosque converted for Christian use, Montgragon Palace, the gorge bridge, Arab arch and the bullring amongst many other sites of archaeological interest. Ronda is filled with history and interest as well as being a comercial centre.

The city of Jerez (80kms), is of course the home of sherry, flamenco and Andalusian horses and is well worth a visit. Cádiz (110kms), is possibly the oldest continuously populated city in Europe and still retains its seafaring traditions and unique atmosphere developed over centuries.

Other places to visit are Arcos de la Frontera, Sevilla, Tarifa, Gibraltar and Morocco.

We also offer one free guided walking tour (3 to 4 hrs) within the park and if you would like to be guided on other walks we can discuss length, difficulty and price with you. We will also supply a guide to the area and our library has a vast range of information for you.
