Comfortable 2 bedroom chalet - double glazed and fully equipped with all mod cons including 42 inch plasma tv in the lounge. There are also TVs in the bedrooms plus a DVD player in the twin bedroom. Both bedrooms have ample storage space by way of fitted wardrobes and bedroom cabinets. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second one two singles. The bathroom has a bath with modern electric shower over. 3G coverage is reasonable with the best being "3" or Virgin/EE. There is Wifi available in the clubhouse.

The chalet opens onto a patio with outside table in a quiet grassed area. There is a fishing lake at the park and a safe, fenced childrens play area with crazy golf. The site is next to the beach with all the usual facilities you would expect including indoor pool, clubhouse, entertainment and childrens club - passes will need to be obtained from Reception - a weekly family pass or daily passes can be purchased - prices change during the season and range between £38 per family per week to £52 per family per week or up to £5 per adult per day (under 5's are free). The chalet is very comfortable and in a quiet location and due to this we do not accept bookings from young, mixed sex groups. The Romney Marsh and Hythe Steam Railway stops on the site and runs to Dungeness Nature Reserve and to the seaside towns of Hythe and Dymchurch

The South East England region

The Romney Marshes is an open landscape of reclaimed, low-lying marshland. The area is bounded to the south and east by the English Channel and to the north and west by the clearly recognisable ancient cliff-line, which now forms the backdrop to the marshes. It includes the vast sand and shingle beaches and flat marshland between Hythe in Kent and Pett in Sussex. This unique and sometimes forbidding area has a character all of its own and contains a wealth of wildlife and geomorphological features. Dungeness is an area of international importance for its geomorphology, plants, invertebrates and birds. Home to some of the UK's rarest species it is designated as a National Nature Reserve, Special Area of Conservation, Special Protection Area and Site of Special Scientific Interest, as well as being a proposed Ramsar site. Dungeness and Rye Harbour comprise the largest cuspate shingle foreland in Europe, one of the few such large examples in the world.

Romney Marsh

Greatstone village is on the south east Kent coast between Folkestone and Rye, about one mile from the cinque port of New Romney on the Romney Marsh.

The village lies between farm land and a nature reserve to the west and the sea, the English Channel, to the east.

It has a fine sandy beach popular, with bathers, walkers and wind surfers alike.

If you are looking for good food and locally sourced fish meals, there is a friendly, family pub/restaurant called The Pilot located at Dungeness, a 5 minute drive from the chalet and a well equipped Spar at Littlestone also a short drive from the Resort.

Local attractions are Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, Dungeness Lighthouses, New Romney Cinque Ports Town, Dymchurch Seaside Village with fair and arcade. There is also the historic Cinque Ports town of Rye and Hythe all around 30 minute drive.

There is a lovely zoo located at Port Lympne with wonderful scenery of the Marsh.

McArthur Glen Shopping outlet is located at Ashford and is full of designer bargains for the keen shoppers.
