We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is located about 15 minutes off the Dover - London motorway and is only about a 30 minute drive after getting off the ferry in Dover. It's far enough out in the country to feel secluded but not so far out to feel isolated. The cottage itself is 300 years old with newer additions that expand the size and add modernity. It is cozy, but was still very comfortable for three adults and two young kids. There was a great fenced-in, well maintained yard that added to the charm. It is obvious that the owner's really enjoy sharing the place with people and they went out of their way to be informative via email about things to do, places to eat, etc. days before our arrival. If you want the fairy tale, English cottage experience that you've always pictured in your mind, this is it! |

This is a beautifull cottage in a very quiet place, the only neighbours you see are lots of sheep... It feels like you are in a fairytale to stay there. With five people it's a bit crowdy, but we didn't mind because we loved to be in and around the cottage. We went to London, Canterbury, Ramsgate, Margate, Tenderden, Rye, Eastborne, the zoo at Port Lympde and made fantastic walks using the public footpaths. It is all within reach. You must go there, you won't regret it! Response: How kind of you to write a review about the cottage and yes we feel the same its like a cottage in a fairytale book and the sheep are just the best neighbours! so glad you had a good time and were comfortable t was a plesure to have you visit our home and hope one day you will come back. very best wishes Pauline and Chris |

Date of Stay: January 2010
We spent the weekend with our 2 children and dog over the New Year, and had a lovely time. Arrived to a snow filled garden in a beautiful setting. Everything you could need was in the cottage and the Christmas Decorations made it feel like a home from home. Lots to see and do in the area despite the freezing temps! View is amazing from cottage over open fields. Would def come again - thanks very much for a super weekend!
The House was so special and the area beautiful, views and walks to die for and had some lovely meals in the Black lion, hope to visit very soon.
Carmel and Alan.
