We visited Brittons Hill Cottage in November 2011 and were taken in by its charm, character and location from the moment we arrived. It felt like a home from home with everything you could need, and more. The cottage has such a lovely feel to it and very well fitted. The garden was also stunning and the view across rolling fields was postcard perfect. The cottage was like something from the film the holiday and we loved every minute of our time there, the only downside is that we couldn't have stayed longer as there was so much to do and see locally and even just relaxing and taking in the ambiance and romance of the perfect quaint cottage. Its location is perfect for exploring all the wonderful local towns and villages with something for everyone. It is all very close to the coast for lovely walks along miles of beautiful beaches, we went in November and the weather was perfect the sun was shining and the skies were clear blue like a summers day so we enjoyed a lovely walk along the beach and exploring all of the local towns including all of their culinary delights. We would definitely recommend the cottage to our friends and family it's the perfect getaway and we will be sure to return again soon! |

We went down as 2 couples and were very happy when we walked through the gate. The cottage is absolutely spectacular & has an amazinging warm feel to it. It is the sort of place you would be more than happy not to leave during your stay, although there is lots to see close by. It has everything you could possibly need and was lovely & warm with the snow falling outside. The views are amazing & you do feel very secluded while you are there. Quite simply if you want a relaxing stay in the country, in peace and tranquility, with stunning views in a lovely old cottage then look no further. You wont be dissapointed. Response: Hi thank you so much for your review it's very kind of you. So glad you had such a great time and loved the cottage and in the snow everything looks so stunning. Glad you were nice and toasty inside and you seemed to enjoy all the local areas. Please come back and visit when you can you are always very welcome. Best wishe Pauline and Chris |

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is located about 15 minutes off the Dover - London motorway and is only about a 30 minute drive after getting off the ferry in Dover. It's far enough out in the country to feel secluded but not so far out to feel isolated. The cottage itself is 300 years old with newer additions that expand the size and add modernity. It is cozy, but was still very comfortable for three adults and two young kids. There was a great fenced-in, well maintained yard that added to the charm. It is obvious that the owner's really enjoy sharing the place with people and they went out of their way to be informative via email about things to do, places to eat, etc. days before our arrival. If you want the fairy tale, English cottage experience that you've always pictured in your mind, this is it! |
